Color ... few choices that are tying in the looks of the old with the new.

My sacrifice will be downgrading from Badlands to Black Diamond, and not getting the High package, just Mid. I can't sacrifice v6, auto, sasquatch, and drain plug floors. Those will be on my Bronco, regardless of trim.

Looks like I'll be forced to sacrifice ...
....a SFA,
....and a V6 manual,
....or a manual Squatch,
.... a V8 option
.... heavy tow capability
... three wipers on the windshield
... Forest Service or Sage Green
... about a year of my life

.... /s

The (unknown) dollars are what is making me undecided.
Ultra cheap base model and give to my daughter in a few years... maybe buy a truck also for towing.
a Black Diamond with some hard driveline upgrades
A BlackSquatch
A Badlands ....mostly "base" would fit my bill, but if the BadSquatch was inexpensive for it since the hard parts are mostly already in the price , who knows????

Not tickled by the mid package.
Heated seats a must, but can also be added after market for CHEEP! Which makes the Base do-able still.

The only thing I'd really like, but refuse to upgrade that far for, is the high end stereo.

Sasquatch package for me, because my only real non-negotiable is the manual transmission. Other minor sacrifices:

Upgraded sound system (not willing to go up 6k from BD to BL just for that)

Color (I'm a BIG fan of Grabber blue, and I've seen Velocity in the wild, it's nice, but not for my Bronco). Would also do something like Fighter Jet Gray or Lead Foot. If Area 51 looks like some of the more gray pics, then that might be the winner.

It’s a 8.8” screen. I’m getting capability over 3” of screen any day of the week.
To be fair the 8” screen isn’t the problem. It’s the lack of effort it looks like they’ve put into the extra space around it.

The only things I may sacrifice are those that I can't get.
cooled seats
power tilt wheel
memory seat
glass sunroof panels.

I have to get
4 door
Outer Banks
black
lux
leather
power seats
2,7
automatic
modular color matched roof
I too have thought it'd be cool if they had glass (or plexiglass) panels in the roof panels.

Maybe the aftermarket will make something? Doubt it, but... get a shop to cut a hole and put some glass in?

My have to haves are rubber/vinyl, rear locker and manual transmission.
My wants are 4.70 gears and m210 up front.
Beyond that it will have to be pretty cheap for me to add.

As it is, to get my needs I'm at the BD trim, and even if I get the absolute base BD, I think I will be happy. It will be a good starting point.

I'll sacrifice velocity blue if it delays delivery.

Having to wait almost a year instead of getting a Jeep or anything else I can put a massive down payment on once I sell my Audi

2.3 vs 2.7 engine
8" vs 12" screen

It all depends on what I can get for what I want to spend. Just waiting on the configuration. All I know for sure is that it will be a 4-door in cyber orange. Either Outer Banks or Badlands (if possible).
I’m in the exact same boat

I'll take this in a different direction, rather than mentioning mix and match trims.

I'm sacrificing speed- my Focus RS. My Bronco is replacing it and I will greatly miss having a fun, fairly quick, manual sporty car as a daily. I like fast, and the Bronco is gonna be annoyingly slow. I'm going to miss my tight sport seats, and just how damn slick the RS looks. Everyone loves that car.

I was really hoping they would give us the 3.5 instead of the 2.7.

The dashboards are all preproduction models. I really hope we don't see that hideous spacer on final production models!

Interesting topic and I thought I would add a little twist.
Sacrifices to get the Bronco:
* the ride and amenities I have come use to in my Volvo
* a truck bed
* receiving my new vehicle any time soon!

Sacrifices with choosing the Black Diamond:
* front parking sensors (love them on my Volvo)
* 12" screen & B&O Sound System
* leather seats

Gains with the Bronco in Black Diamond Trim:
* iconic platform
* Retro styling that meets my main criteria: rugged 4x4 with sufficient tech/safety features
* practicality of an SUV platform
* rear locker, auxiliary switches, rock rails, bumpers and bash plates
* Steelies!!! (insert mike drop here)
