I do not believe the 4 door has a step, they fold flat with the load floor. This is possible because the 4d has a well underneath the seat, the bottom flips forward the back lays down flat. The 2d has no well because the seat is directly over the rear axle.. Although they did pull it off in the Bronco II so...
While it's metallic, this is pretty much what Velocity Blue will look like.My only color requirement is a white top. It is hot where I live and to have the interior heat up the extra 15 or 20 degrees that a dark top absorbs is not for me. I'm not a fan of how some darker colors fade after a few years in the sun either.
I am not very enthusiastic about the colors available. I assumed that some of the colors offered would be classic type colors from the 60's or 70's but except for red that hasn't happened, at least not for this year. I'll wait and see what is offered next year. I'm not set on a particular color except that it won't be silver/gray or a retina-burning glow in the dark shade. It is not written in stone but I'd prefer a non-metallic gloss blue with a white top, something similar to the old Bronco below (that is sadly not mine).

Overall, though, I'd say color is important - as someone earlier in the thread said, every time you look at the vehicle, you'll be thinking "I should've gotten it in x color".
That becomes more difficult in your case where they don't even offer something like what you want.
For me, there are a few blues or near-blues, so I'll be "ok" lol, but you're in a tougher spot.
