Moab roadtrip quick roundup.
Left Greenville, SC Friday 8/30.
Stopped in Nashville 8/30, Kansas City 8/31, and Denver 9/1. Picked up RV trailer in Fruita, CO and arrived in Moab 9/2.
9/3 - Hiked Dead horse point state park and drove through Canyonlands NP "island in the sky" portion.
9/4 - Drove through Arches NP
9/5 - Needles portion of Canyonlands and returned trailer to Fruita.
9/6 - Bronco off-rodeo
9/7 - Drove to the four corners and continued on through NM and TX to Oklahoma City
9/8 - Drove through AR, TN, MS, AL, GA and arrived back home just after midnight.

Final tally:

4446 mi
80.5 hrs of driving
16.8 mpg
Billions of squashed bugs

Already can't wait for the next adventure.

A few more upgrades:
ARB Dual installed on the Barnes bracket.
Waiting on my braided hose and quick connect and she’ll be ready to rock-n-roll.

The DV8 cargo storage is even better than I thought. The tool roll you can barely see now wouldn’t even let the lid close all the way with the stock plastic pan. VERY happy with it, glad I finally did it.

To install the DV8, I found it easiest to just go ahead and follow their directions and drop the muffler.
Really simple.
1 -15mm bolt, slip off the two isolator retainers and it’s done.
While I had it off, I did one of the least expensive “mods” that helped a ton with aesthetics.
A coat of hi-temp black and back in business after about an hour of dry time.
Helps hide the giant aluminum-looking oil drum of a muffler quite well.

Wrenches day one, getting dirty day two?!

Just driving my familiar forestry roads I know so well from fishing, realizing quickly that the Bronco will take me places I just couldn’t go before!

Awesome driving experience, cruising down the highway, crappy gravel, goat trails full of rocks, the truck made it all easy - mud & ruts mode thumbing the button in manual for the win!

It was a good day!
