Exactly my issue. The Apex box is just massive and I had no spot that made any sense for it. Ill keep an eye out for your post once you get it migrated to the smaller box
Well, I do not recommend this for anyone with weaker patience but it does work.
I used this box and let me tell you, it is the absolute minimum size one would want.
I wanted it to keep the profile low as to not interfere with the hood while still using the BAMF relocation bracket I spent $100 on.

I used some tape and traced out the factory remote switch and port for the wired remote, used that as a template on the end of the box.
That was the best and easiest part of the whole process.

Not going to lie, it was a pain.
but it fit.
I’ll clean up that small ground wire running across the battery.

There is no good way without fabricating a mount to use the supplied cut off switch.
nowhere to mount it, it will not work with the BAMF mount (sits up way too high and hits the hood).
So I ordered this one that came with a good 90 degree mounting bracket, used some 1/4-20 super short fasteners and anchored it to the fuse box cover.
It made ever-so-slight contact with the hood so I used my grinder and took about a 1/4” off of the bracket and the knob. (Will touch up bracket paint as well).

Everything works now, wireless and wired remote functions work, nothing hits anything.
Plan on buying the WARN brand remote winch relocation wiring (or making your own), as the Apex ones are too short to do anything with on a Bronco unless you mount your control box somewhere down low on the rad support and have longer wired for a disconnects switch up higher in the engine bay that is user-friendly.

I wish anyone and everyone luck in this endeavor.

it is better, but not completely unobstructed.
I may still get a relocation kit for the camera and mount it to my cover I made for the winch where the control pack cover once was. Not wayyyy out there in front on the fairlead, but still looking out of place.

Great post. This model control box is a beast. They really have not made it easy to relocate.

Finally installed the Suma mirror glass. Wish I would’ve taken before and after pictures. Install wasn’t bad. I did have to pop off the mirror caps to reroute the wires for the heating element, thankfully I had enough slack. Haven’t driven at night with them yet so I don’t know what that looks like. I did drive around when it was quite overcast and the blue tint didn’t bother me at all. What did throw me for a loop is that my eyes went wonky the first time I looked at the drivers side mirror. It took an extra moment to focus. I guess 30 years of looking at a flat surface has trained my eyes what to expect. Hopefully after a few days I won’t have any trouble.

Did you get the amber DRL option? It looks like it takes a 2nd aux switch, yes?
Your plastI dip is not horrible! Stuff is hard work with. I think you can get black bronco’s on amazon and remove the stock bronco with dental floss. FWIW.

I do the same but don’t want my sticks on the console. I try and diagonally wedge the sticks between the driver’s seat and the rear β€œpassenger” roll bar. You?
