Finally installed the FP Oil separators today. Pretty straight forward and did it without pulling the driver side turbo outlet.

I installed a Ford Performance Oil/air separator kit this morning on my Raptor.
I wasn't thinking of buying one, but I noticed that the PCV hose, on the driver's side of my Raptor, was coated with oil and dirt.
After reading the instructions, I decided to leave in place all the parts which weren't being replaced.
I removed the factory PCV hoses and connectors first.
When I took the PCV hose off of the driver's side, oil poured out of it, I wasn't expecting that.
I bolted the brackets on, both sides of the motor, then put the Ford Performance canisters on the brackets.
After lubing the O rings on the four replacement hoses, I connected them to engine mounting points and then the Ford Performance canisters.
I first drove the Raptor on the parkways to the beach and back, about a 20-mile round trip.
The vacuum/boost gauge was reading zero to 6 at 55 mph.
Then drove it around town.
I've noticed that the engine seems more powerful, is running smother at speed, and at idle, since installing the kit, maybe the oil being sucked into the motor was making it run poorly, who knows.
All in all, it was a very easy job and took me about an hour to install.

So there are two factory hoses you remove. The one with the blue insert is simple as it is designed to be taken off/on. The hose with the orange insert is not designed to be removed. Makes zero sense, unless it is somehow for emissions compliance. Baffling.

American Adventure Labs MASS floor system, refrigerator slide and drawer and hard mounted my Donetic CFX3 55IM. Have had these for months, but had stereo and NVH issues to sort out before these.

... the plexiglass cover feels secure-ish... If I were taking the truck out in the deserts and banging the hell out of it, I'd figure out a replacement cover or at a minimum fabricate a part to lock it down.
Thanks for the detailed review 👍🙏.

It's hard to believe S&B would offer a Braptor (or any) system where the filter box cover wasn't highly secured regardless of the vehicle/terrain.

ARB cable chain/guide for fridge:

Although not a perfectionist cable router like @Johnny Mo 😉, I do like things tidy and to not get damaged. Thus this ARB product.

Unfortunately, it was a most of the day project and, quite frankly, a bitch. These things are "picky" and to furl and unfurl reliably, they have to be positioned, supported and have their length set perfectly. The kit is designed for a complete ARB rear setup so I knew some adapting would be needed, but damn...

The fully soldered/heat shrink, cable sheathed, custom cable was the easy part. The bracket had to be customized/cut/shaped so also threw a coat of epoxy primer on it. Fishing the zip ties through the side panel trims was also just not fun.

Fortunately, with the nose to the grindstone, it turned out great and functions perfectly.

I'm not into the "pretty" clear plastic cover fad at all. The lame excuse of "but that way you can verify the condition of the filter" just doesn't work for me. I have no problem pulling off a cover to see the filter condition. Just give me robust hardware that I can trust will survive when under duress. This is the only reason why I chose not to order the S&B system.

S&B...are you listening?

Thanks. Is this perspective based on a hands-on eval, input from others, observed failures, other?

The hands on didn't happen based on what I see from S&B, and what others have witnessed and experienced both here and elsewhere regarding failures. The large, somewhat cheesy plastic window has to go. Until then, no purchase from them. Which is sad because beyond that, I actually like their effort.

So, anecdotes of cover failures? Aren't they clear insert/windows in a larger cover?/frame. Do the windows fail or the entire cover. Fo they crack or not seal. Obviously, I'm totally ignorant here...

Anecdotes? Here's what I said

Here's one of a few relevant not so good reviews I have seen.

On edit, the latest intake entrant for the Bronco Raptor. A much smaller "window" than what S&B uses...
