I am converting my 2022 Badlands order to a 2023. I am seriously thinking about changing to a Heritage truck. What will I be giving up if I do?
Thanks for your help.

List:
  • Washout floors & vinyl seats
  • Access to the High or Lux equipment package
  • The big one: Sway-bar disconnect
Everything else is minor cosmetic items.

As a general rule of thumb, I would assume that the Heritage would take long to get delivered.

Wait, are you saying I can get a Badlands quickly?

Sorry , couldnā€™t resist. Iā€™ve only waited a couple of years since reserving so my scale of time isnā€™t very accurate.

Select that Heritage and don't be surprised when you get pushed to '24 like a lot of the Braptor folk did this past year!

As long as you have waited, never underestimate Ford's ability to make you wait even longer!

Witch heritage? The limited Is based on the badlands and according to the B&P still has washout flooring. And you could get the higher packages. that means your just loosing more $$ from your wallet. The regular heritage is based off the big bend? I think I read the. You are giving up the sway bar disco and the higher packages

All of the above plus you'll lose some under body armor, no rock rails, nothing above mid pkg. You'll also lose the cardboard hardtop and cheese grater grille but YMMV on those.

Iā€™d be surprised if it wasnā€™t pushed to ā€˜24. But, Iā€™m with Granger so I wasnā€™t expecting my Badlands in ā€˜23 either. Soā€¦.

I hope you know I was just yanking your chain. All things being equal which they are not because of the mod top, the Heritage will have fewer constraints because it is capped at mid. But they have already said late delivery but they should have said that 2 years ago for most models.

I appreciate everyone's suggestions and humor. I am with Granger, (#404), so I seriously doubt I will get a 2023 truck and this exercise will have to be repeated.

I am leaning towards the Heritage Edition because I grew up and learned to drive with my dad's 1966 Bronco, (which was stolen from me 4 years ago).

The only missing detail that bothers me not having rock rails. I can add them myself I suppose.

Thanks again!

No rock rails isn't really that big a miss as typically the aftermarket options may include offerings that are superior to factory.

Take-off rock rails will be dirt cheap ($100), by the time you get it.
