Hi , just took my badlands out to swamp, worked very well in mud/ruts/waterholes. By myself and no winch so turned around at a particularly bad spot. My question is? How do you start your bronco if your key fob gets damaged and vehicle says no key detected and your stuck in a bad spot? Just something I was thinking about up to my wheels in Alabama mud

Open the center console, lift out the rubber floor and place your fob in the indentation that resembles the fob.
Didn't know about that, I will look. I already decided not to lock bronco when I go hiking but I would like it to not start for just anyone lol

I don't have first hand experience with one of these but if you have the tow package or at least add an aftermarket hitch to the Bronco you could run one of these. I would think the key would be far enough away that it wouldn't start if you stored the key in there while you hiked.

I wonder if I get the console safe and wrap fob in foil if it would mask signal?

This does look like a handy storage unit. I don’t know if it would be similar, it someone just posted a video where they left the keys in the rear cargo enclosure with the doors off. The car started, but they couldn’t open rear gate/storage. This safe at least has a combination lock.

The keyless entry pad is a great thing in situations like this.

Going somewhere you might get wet or just don't want your key fob at all? Just lock the fob in the truck and use the code to get in later.

It won't help if you broke the fob but it lessens the chance of damage or losing it.

Interesting idea would have to disable walkup unlock. Can the keyless entry pad be retro fitted?

If I understand your concern properly, if you're concerned about it getting wet, you could also just buy one of those marine storage cases/bags that they make for cell phones. They're pretty small and will keep it dry. Ya, it's a little bulkier than just a fob, but it's peace of mind.

I have worked on machinery my whole life and I am Leary of all the tech. It's nice but that stuff does go bad often and gets obsolete even quicker. I suspect most of the stuff in new bronco is already on the tech obsolescent train
