Thinking about something that's probably crazy, but at least give it a shot.
Once I've got my portals, I can go to 42s. However, with the portal lift, I can maybe get 37s and still park in my garage (it ain't staying outside, too much hail around here). However, that 2dr hardtop is a pricy pickle to replace...
Really want to get some 38-40" tires.
What to do?
Seems like I have two options: Air down w/38s until I can fit comfortably under the garage door, or keep my current tires/rims and only put the 38s on when I want to go wheeling. (I guess a radical option is to remove 1-2" of lift .)
Both have their pros and cons: Airing down will probably get a decent ride, however that may not work (and I feel limits me to 38s max) and those are pricy tires to wear hard. Keeping a road set is of course viable (I have garage space), however lugging giant tires on and off feels like it'd get real old, real quick.
Decisions, decisions.
