Mine called it "bad-ass." She also likes the Sport and was wanting to add one of those to the stable as her daily. When I told her we would have to sell both her Flex and the Jeep she backed off that idea. Now all of the sudden it is her Jeep and it looks like the Flex may be put out to pasture come next June.
She's pretty excited about it. I thought it was going to be a hard sell. Turns out she's always wanted a jeep but never bought one due to safety ratings...(So having said that, actually converting my reservation into a purchased vehicle is pending on the Bronco's safety rating. Don't let me down Ford!)
Wife hated the idea of one since I brought it up a year or so ago. She said an SUV isn’t as good as a truck for hauling stuff. Which translates to “ain’t no way in hell you’re putting dead deer inside an SUV”.
I convincingly started my counterpoint that as soon-to-be empty nesters, we could get a 2 door. Have so much more room in the garage to be able to buy more motorcycles. Would be fun with the 7 speed. Would be more maneuverable in the city. We could take the top off and fold the rear seats down and pretend we’re 16 again. We could buy a trailer for deer, firewood, etc. I was great. Point/counterpoint, every argument had a great rebuttal.
The 2021 Outer Banks I reserved will be my wife's. I thought for sure we would get a 4-door being more practical, but she looked at them and said " I like the 2-door, it looks more like your 1974."
Since we don't have any kids, 2-door it is!
My wife loves the New Bronco's and can't wait until we get ours. We were talking about finding an old one before the talks got serious about the new Bronco's. We had to see what they were going to look like though. Like when the FJ's came back- was very disappointed with their design. Ford nailed this one- we are excited!
