I really didn't ask permission until reveal night. I slowly planted the seed months ago "hey babe, check out this new Bronco in the magazine". "Hey I heard the new Bronco might have a manual, isn't that cool?"

Do this enough for a few months then on reveal night I asked if I could put down my deposit and she said "yeah go ahead"!

You just have to make them feel like they're in control of the situation, even though secretly you are in control.

At least that's what I've told myself

I did something similar. I was late to the game but immediately loved it and thought it could be a family mover that we both said we wanted.

That being said I planted the seed months ago and warmed her up before telling her about the reservation only a couple months ago. She knows I wouldn't buy something extravagant anyways and that I vetted other similar vehicles and luckily none were much cheaper that could do what we wanted. A 5,000 tow would have been an even easier sell though.

But yeah she couldn't care less about a car but she's happy it makes me happy to talk about them.

If she asks what I'm reading about when I'm on this forum I say "PORN!", smile and act like I'm hiding the screen. She laughs and knows I'm reading about the Bronco or college football.

What about 'What does your husband think of the new Bronco?" This isn't just a boys club! When I saw the first photos of the Bronco I instantly sent my husband a text and said "Have you seen the new Bronco? That's my next car!" He had been waiting years for me to finally find a new car I liked. He likes the way they look, but he had zero influence on my final decision. I built the car I wanted, asked his opinion and then told him why his opinion was wrong and went with what I had. He was fully on board with me getting what I wanted because it will be my car.

I’m 14 years into owning my truck which I am very sentimental about making it hard to part with.

A while ago it started to run into some small problems that made me consider getting rid of it for something else. I wasn’t really excited about any vehicle options out there.

My wife was the one who convinced me to wait for the Bronco to come out. Although I’m still sad about losing my truck, I’m now very excited about the Bronco. She then convinced me that Badlands was the right choice, even though I was balking at the price. So yeah, she’s on board and definitely a keeper.

My wife says the new Broncos are UGLY. She doesn't understand the retro styling that has taken most of us back to our earlier days when we could only dream of having a 60's or 70's Bronco. Since it looks like only me and the grandkids will be riding, I may have to reconsider a 2 door .

I'm in a good spot bc I don't think my wife could hate my car more than any other I could buy.

It's an Austin Yellow M4. My wife says:

I hate the color!
It's booger green!
Why is it so loud?
It's so uncomfortable I can feel every bump!
It's so douchey!



She sees the bronco as an upgrade from the current hate and loves that "its an suv". Here's what she's not quite put together yet.

Going top less and no doors. She currently hates when I drive windows down.

She knows I got Sasq'd but she has no idea it'll make it stand higher.

To give perspective my wife drives a Buick Enclave and thinks it's the perfect car lol

I am a married female (the wife). I might let my husband drive it every once in a while. My current DD is an F150. He is glad the Bronco is actually in production so I can finally get one after talking about it for the last ten years!

Our Bronco will be my wife’s daily driver and our family car, I have a work truck and will drive the Bronco on weekends etc... she absolutely loves it and pushed for it.

This Bronco will be mine (the wife) and I think the hubby is getting slightly tired of the pictures and videos I make him look at everyday I was clicking reserve about 10 seconds into the premiere and he was a big reason I went with the FE since I've been talking about it since they announced it was coming back. I get to drive his Hellcat whenever I want so he'll be able to take the Bronco when he wants

Loves it and will likely put more miles on it than me. The 4 door Wildtrak will be our family cruiser for sure. Maybe I'll grab myself a 2 door in the future depending on how we like this one.

On the other hand maybe Raptor proces will start to drop with GenIII on the horizon. I've always wanted one of those.
