I want a Wildtrak with vinyl and drain floors. Since that's not an option, I have to add all of the packages and options to a badlands. It will cost a little more I assume, but it'll get me the off roader features also. Can't hurt.

I'm using the price of the Wildtrack to guess what it's going to cost me to option up a Badlands with a V6 and "High package". Wildtrack does only have the "Mid package," but I'll be saving on tires and top, so I think it will be a wash.

Just click on the link in post 3 above and you too will be a Ford Bronco Interior By Trim Expert.
Doesn't mention the colors though. Medium Sandstone, Roast/Black, and Navy Pier. All available in either cloth or leather. Plus Dark Space Gray marine vinyl for the BD and BL.

Go to each trim, it lists the available colors and materials. Look at “allowable” for each trim. The only one without color noted is the base cloth which is presumably some kind of black/dark color. Some leather may not note color but you can get pretty close. You can also see the available colors/materials not allowed on that trim by looking at excluded.

Main point is that it is purpose built to be a Baja Runner where the Badlands is purpose built to be a Rock Crawler. OBX is purpose built luxury and so on and so forth with the other models.

Doesn't the wild track have a plastic front bumper?

Big differences in standard features vs options. Standard: 2.7 v6, Sasquatch package, 4dr Shadow painted Hardtop and Mid package.
I have reserved a FE and Wildtrak. If FE only comes with Navy Pier, I going Wildtrak and loading up to FE options. Only difference between loaded Badlands and Wildtrak is no swaybar disconnect with Wildtrak. I'm not a rock climber so disconnect is no big deal for me. Plus I'm really digging that front grille.

Why 2 reservations when you can change trim levels on reservations?

Same for the most part. My preference is the Badlands with the V6, Sasquatch, painted hard top and at least Mid package. I'm expecting it to be a $2k-3k premium over the Wildtrak at a similar options level to account for the steel off-road bits on the Badlands. If they want much more than that I'll go Wildtrak and add the bumpers, rock rails and upgraded skid plates later.

One other difference that may turn out important is that Wildtrak gets Sport GOAT mode whereas Badlands gets Rock/Crawl instead (which Wildtrak doesn’t get). It’s not so much a feature as it is just a difference.

I hope that Normal mode works out for the Badlands auto owners out there. I have heard that the 10-spd can sometimes be confused on what gear it should be in. The Sport mode seems to help hold the gears longer.
Badlands has Baja which is like sport plus. You will be fine

Is the Baja mode only 4x4 or 2high as well?

seems like the only difference is missing swaybar disconnect and a new mode.

why is it so expensive? does it have a factory tune?
When you think of a Wildtrak, think of a Baja runner.
