I don't understand how so many of you are getting such good mileage! The BEST tank I've ever had was 15 mpg and I was babying it! Most tanks are around 13mpgs and I never even floor it. Starting to think something is wrong with it 🤔
Are you calculating your mileage or trusting the dash? In my Non-Sas badlands the dash is ≈5% high on average.

I calculate. The dash says 15-16 most of the time, but the math says 14-15 most of the time.

Looks like your at a similar "error" on the dash.

My average over 12,546 is 17.39 based on the data in the Fillup app I use.

Non-SAS but on 35” KO2’s and 4.27 gears. I’m very happy with 21+ mpg. 21.6 calculated on my last trip.

I use the dash. I don’t really care, my environmental contribution is driving less miles than 90% of everyone. At 1400 miles I’m still averaging only 16.

Congratulations. 🤷‍♂️

It's not about "environmental contributions" it's about accuracy of data. If one person claims they are getting 20mpg based on the dash, and somebody else is "only" getting 19 or even lower it may be because their data sets are different. Because I'm slightly nerdy I've downloaded the data from my fillup app and gotten a error spread of -2.36% all the way up to 9.68%. That can be a significant difference from the display.

I have a 4–door Badlands Sasquatch soft top with 2.7L automatic. Carrying about 300+ lbs of gear, I drove 2,000 miles round trip from North Texas to and through the Western Slope of Colorado in late May. Overall 2k trip mileage average was 16.9. Best mileage was 22.1 over about 200 miles in the mountains at moderate speeds. For routine driving, I average 15-16 mpg in the city/combined, and 17-18 mpg for highway only.

How does a V6 get such shit gas mileage this day and age? Yeah there's a lot of variables, but geez I think a .302 v8 might get better mileage :ROFLMAO:
Exactly! I’m at 14.1 mpg with mostly city driving. Only highway miles so far are 30 miles to and from the off-road park every other weekend. My ‘08 GT500 gets close to 13 in town. Maybe it’s time for an engine swap and the birth of the first Bronco GT500 🤔

I just drove to Texas and back to Virginia all within a week. I got two different readings.

Reading #1: To Texas - 17.0 with Top off, Door on, Windows down and A/C off with avg Speed of 70
Reading #2: Back to Virginia - 18.5 with Top Up, Doors on, Windows on, A/C on with avg speed of 65

Hope this helps. I have a lot of weight on my Badlands as well.

Im happy to say what IM getting (surprised) . currently at 19.2 but my commute can be 80mpg for 20 miles. currently around 700+ miles on the clock.

after topping off on my way home from taking delivery in Boise (live in Montana) on my way home I was around 500 miles at the time. I was going 50-55 miles (slow) to help avoid deer because it was at night. and best I saw for that stretch of an hour was 24.2 happy to say. and IM not even through the break it period. but I am not hot rodding it either.

ps. first post
