Ford Bronco What gas mileage are you getting with 2.7 and SAS? 1665156231341

I noticed yesterday the gas mileage was showing 20.5. I'm thinking it's because I was up in the mountains and coasting on the way back. I was expecting something between 15-17 for normal street driving.

It was closer to 16/17 with passengers and driving up into the mountains.

Tire pressure is at 36psi

2DR WT SAS 2.7 Getting 18.5 - 18.7 MPG depend on the days.
60% local, 30% highway, 10% stop and go traffic.

Passive aggressive driver. Behaves when there are traffic near me. Go nuts when I'm alone :ROFLMAO:

Since I sit so tall and can see cars in front of me, been practicing "one paddle driving". Anticipate traffic, following distance and stuff. Try not to brake and accelerate during traffic too much. That helps MPG lol

Since I brought it home in Feb, I have been getting 17.6-17.9. I filled up the other day and it hung around 20mpg for a good bit then nose dived to 16.9 and refuses to move. I drive 80% local.

WTF? The best I can get is like 15.5 MPG. I must be doing something wrong.
Yea... Me too. I don't have a SAS but I do have a 2" lift and 35 x 12.5 tires on it. Bout 14.5 so far that a lot of around town driving. That's with about 1200 miles on it.

Just curious. Mine is rated for 17mph but I'm getting 19.5 on normal mode which surprised me. Wondering if I can break 20 with eco mode.
Average about 17.3 mpg, mostly city driving

Similar for me with more city than highway I’m at about 17.6 over 11,500 miles.

After a few road trips I am now up to 16.5. I don't ever think I will see much better than that.

It is what it is... I had a Denali that loved gas. That thing was like 10 - 13 MPG

Yeah I hear you. I had a 2004 Dodge Ram with the Hemi that at best could get 13 going downhill witha tail win. Pass anything but a gas station.

I've gotten up to 19.8, but one mash on the gas pedal to get up to speed in a hwy on ramp and I'll lose a tenth of a mile instantly. 3000 miles so far.

I only have 346 miles on my BadSAS but only got 12 MPG in the first tank and now tracking around 13.8 MPG on the current tank. I do have a tune and a heavy foot. Hopefully when the novelty wears off I can get it up to 15-16 MPG which is what I would expect.

2-Door Bronco; Badlands, SAS; 2.7, 6,500 miles; stock suspension and OEM wheels and tires. Always use premium.

Here is the data for different driving measured using maths at the pump: 1. 2H, General driving about town (some highway, mostly local) many many tanks of gas = ~16.8mpg; 2. Cruise control set at 87mph (almost no traffic) in 2H driving across Kansas/Eastern Colorado on I-70: 2 full tanks each returned ~15.1 mpg (I think the premium in KS may suck and have more ethanol in it, which would not help plus at 87 mph there is quite a bit of constant turbo boost and that is not helpful either); 3. Driving on I-70 in 2H, Colorado mountain ranges, to and from MOAB, = ~19.5mpg; and 4. wheeling on 3 pretty tough different trails in MOAB (4Lo, sway bar disconnected, rear diff mostly locked, front diff sometimes locked = ~8.8 mpg.
