I've broken the speed limit a few times, my personal record for the longest trip to pick up a new vehicle (2200 miles,) and completely destroyed a groundhog the other day 'cause that f'er just deserved it.

Broke the auto-up on the driver's side. Keeps doing the panic-drop. Tried the recalibration numerous times to no effect.

Fixed the misaligned trim panel rubbing paint on the swinggate

I think I have a CV going out, clicking in 4wd.

Front grill took a hit wheeling, I was able to get it straight again. Few pin stripes, some nice scrapes on the RR plastic fender. Broke the plastic cover on the rear tailgate, no clue when I broke that.

If it didn’t touch anything I wouldn’t have any broken parts. I tend to murder plastic clips and tabs easily. And I did snap all my grill tabs (ones with the ties) off trying a install. Come to find out those clips are not really needed.

I (somewhat buzzed-ly) put the doors in the back of my 4D without anything between them and rubbed some paint off...I (somewhat buzzed-ly) rationalized it by spouting "If they get messed up, I'll just buy new doors."

Yeah that was a mistake but was an awesome experience to be able to take the doors off while away from the house and not have to worry about where to store them. I can simply touch them up to fix the paint.

Yep. Mine's at the dealership right now getting this fixed. They will put rivets on... much more secure then the tiny brittle plastic clips.

I broke:
  • 1 of 2 bolts holding on left-rear tow hook. Trying to install mud flaps and I read the wrong number for the torque wrench. Drilling out and removing the sheared bolt from under the vehicle was fun.
  • Friction / hold-up mechanism on the glove box. PSA: the version 1 user manual for the Bronco is wrong where it shows the location of the in-cabin fuses. They are on the left, near the steering wheel (unless you have some funny RHD Brit one?), not on the right behind the glove box as the manual indicated.
    • Why the version 1 manual? I wanted a PDF because I was going to be on a laptop offline since the 12" display was dead.
    • How did it break? Gently pulling down the glove box to look for fuses.
Gremlins broke:
  • APIM. Hoping for a replacement some day soon, because a working radio is definitely a good nice-to-have.
  • Central interconnect module, or whatever it's called, because a working engine is even more nice-to-have than a working radio.

Good to know, it seems like a design flaw. I was not able to get an appointment until 8/15. I might have to get some duct tape for the time being.

I ripped the right front gator back mud flap off on a log, I should’ve removed the bottom half and nothing would have happened. At the same time my left front tire came off the rim, at 9 psi, too low of pressure without the bead lock rings. And a wheel speed sensor stopped working. Oh, well.
