As we approach a one-year wait for this truly amazing vehicle, I think it's important to reflect on the wonderful things each of us undertook to better ourselves and the world. Ford Built a Bronco, what did each of us accomplish? The Bronco will create a whole new group of enthusiasts, clubs and aftermarket vendors. Exciting times.

Me, what did I do?

1. Completed my leadership and coaching certification
2. My wife and I purchased another lot of land to build spec home - shooting for net-zero!
3. Paid for my daughter's college and she made the Dean's list.
4. Didn't get covid.
5. Upgraded my "job" to include brokering and coaching.
6. Searched the interwebs each nite for news about the Bronco. Ya, every nite.
7. Lost 20lbs.
8. Drove my dealer and sales guy partially insane with questions.
9. Just sold my 2018 F150 for $11k lower than what I paid for 40 months ago.
10. Entertained buying a Wrangler 7 times, Ranger 6 times, Bronco Sport-0. OK, Bronco Sport-twice.

I'm here to complain that you made a valid thread without complaining!!!!!

Also, Bronco sPoRT 4 LYFE!

Edit: I also want to complain that you used punctuation and a bulleted list to organize your post. That's not how you do things around here! Don't let the door hit you on the way out of Punctuation-town.

This year I set out to be an underachiever, and it seems I achieved my gold. So, does achieving the goal of being an underachiever make you a failure at achieving your goal? I'm so confused.

-Got a house that was four times the value of my last one.
-Traded in my Ducati for another Ducati.
-Got the S.O. a bike of her own and have a riding buddy now.
-Got stabbed in the arm with some mysterious fluid.
-Confirmed that my love for the Defender wasn't as strong as for the Bronco (but not by much).
-Rented a Wrangler, drove it to the beach, then drove it on the beach, and confirmed that it was the inferior choice for my wants/needs.
-Got my hair cut on Tuesday for the first time since before I reserved the Bronco last July. Yeah...
-Rediscovered my love for chorizo after not knowing what it was called in my childhood.
-Got a boater's license.
-Learned how to ride a PWC (and I'm about to order some Sea-Doos)
-Went a whole year without being pulled over.

Well this is going to be depressing for those like me that didn't do anything.

I did manage to fix my finances to make the Bronco purchase possible. Went from a 680 credit score and zero in savings to 810 and $25k.

I sold my Tacoma for $1200 less than I paid for it after 60 months, sold my 62 beetle for 4x what I paid, and sold my TDI Jetta for twice what I paid, and sold one of my jeeps for what I had in it.

Created a Twitter account just to bug Mike Levine several times a day about Manual Sasquatch until they finally announced they would offer them.

Deleted my Twitter account.

Priority 99'd my reservation to wait for my 2022 BaseManSquatch...

I built my Aunt's old Subaru Forester into my daily driver/overland camping rig.

Changed jobs to something I like much more.

Raised a few dozen chickens and a few geese.

Lost 20 lbs

Went camping in 15 different states with my kid.

Rode my motorcycle over Imogene Pass as well as many other high altitude passes.

Plenty of other things, both good and bad, but happy with life for the most part, and still in a decent spot to buy my new Bronco when they build it.

I will play!

1. Survived a year of teaching at home during COVID (worst year of teaching ever after 15 years)
2. Got COVID
3. Moved over on my salary schedule for free
4. Sold my 2019 leased Ranger and made a few bucks.
5. Took those bucks and put them down on the new Motor Trend EV of the year Mach E. That car is legit.
6. Paid down a ton of debt
7. Added four ducks to my flock of chickens
8. Still waiting for a build date……
