Driven, not flown!
If we are going flown, I was in the nav seat of a 1962 KC-135 going 0.85 mach at 43,100 over the Grand Canyon in 2007.

Just ground! I've done mach 2 in an Air France and BA Concorde, but yes just ground speed civi style!

Iā€™ll apologize for being That Guy, but Iā€™m saying sorry with a smile.

Got a turn in a friendā€™s Porsche 944 Just after high school. I ran out of guts at 110, but the car still had plenty.

That's pretty sweet, never had the opportunity.

I don't have anything else as far as ground speed exploits. 155 mph is it, and only because I was late to work, but desert roads are amazing for high speed runs.

140+ in a 2005 Ford GT through 2 EZTag booths along Beltway 8 in Houston. Although I was a passenger in a 9 sec 1/4 mile Dodge Dart, no idea how fast, but scary as hell.

I feel like I should just walk away from this thread before I embarrass myselfā€¦ butā€¦ ehā€¦ itā€™s just the internet, so whatever.

My highest was a 1989 Broncoā€¦ was towing a trailer behind me and letā€™s just say the trailer was doing a real good job pushing me down the hill and my brakes were nice and toasty. No idea exactly how fast I was going because the speedometer only went up to 80 mph, but based on the Broncoā€™s death wobble I was somewhere in the high 90mph, low 100mph range.

Outside of that one event in the Bronco I donā€™t think Iā€™ve driven faster than 85-86 mph. Iā€™m boring I guess.

Not sure. Last time I drove fast was in my 65. 3/4 RV cam, shaved heads. Speedometer ran out of numbers at 120.

Fasted I ever did was 170kph (105mph) in a VW Jetta TDI (lol). I had my F150 up to 160kph on a couple occasions. Nowhere close to what others have posted, but Iā€™m still young so plenty of time to set some new land speed records haha

Lets do top speed while hauling a load. I hit 90+ in a late 2000s F550 crew cab flatbed, was towing a "lil"(non 5th wheel) trailer with a scissor lift on it. Just trying to get to a job site.

I felt pretty good passing Subaru's and Escape's pulling my boat up I-81 with my F150, 85 to 90 at times. I've barely scraped 100 mph on the ground, but the biggest pucker has been on the water. 65 on a jet ski and 85 in a 32ft Scarab, in the dark and dirty Chesapeake Bay. There's a lot of stuff floating out there that you can't see until you're on top of if
