I saw a post on here from a 22 owner who had the same engineering part (M2DB-S502G33-AV51MD) for a rear cap as a 2021 MIC2. Am wonderig if anyone has a 22 or 23 with a different part # on their rear cap sticker than M2DB-S502G33-AV51MD ? A bit weird since the production part numbers are different for each MY, so wondering if they are in fact identically manufactured tops.

My 2022 is almost same EXCEPT the S is an X...

Used to have a 2021, not sure what it said, but having a two door from each of the first MYs now I have noticed my 2021 rear cap (day 1 res) did NOT have anchor bolts high up in roll cage (like all 4dr do I think), it just had 4 bolts/side in the sills.

My 2022 2dr has the 2 high bolts at the top-front of the cap AND all 8 sill bolts...

Anyone with a 2021 2dr that doesn't have the high bolts/did factory just forget to put mine in?

Not all part numbers are different for each MY. Most stay the same, unless something is changed.

If the 21 and 22 both had the same MIC 2.0 top, they would have the same service part number and engineering number. These numbers wouldn’t change just because one is a year newer.

If they’ve never been removed, sounds like they forgot them. The top bolts should be there on every one.

I wonder if the X is for 2-door (the ones I've seen are 4-door)

*You have a 2022 2 door

I have them on my 2022 2 door as well

I did not have them on my 2021 2 door

Seen/read about anyone having them for sure on 2021 *2 door*?

I swear I remember an early top removal tutorial talking about them being specific to the 4 door (MY 2021)...

That's what I'm saying; they have different service numbers (sorry, I used the word "production" here), but seem to have the same engineering numbers for 21 and 22.

If that's the case, then at least a few 22 Bronco owners didn't get a M2DZ-78502G33-CA as they should, but a M2DZ-78502G33-AA.

Just watched a YouTube video of someone removing their 21 2 door hard top, they had the top bolts still.

I don’t even see M2DB-S502G33-AV51MD listed in the parts catalog as a engineering number.

It shows M2DB-X502G33-AV51MD for a 2 door
Or M2DB-S502G33-AY51MD for a 4 door.

Lots of these floating around on 21s, and apparently some 22s.

Starting to put the puzzle pieces together a bit now from anecdotal evidence in other threads. It's beginning to look like M2DB-X502G33-AV51MD was a newly manufactured "MIC 2.0" top, while M2DB-S502G33-AV51MD could have been the sticker applied to MIC 1.0 tops that were only re-primed and sprayed in the recall. In other words, if you have M2DB-S502G33-AV51MD, it looks like you might have a repainted MIC 1.0, and if you have a M2DB-X502G33-AV51MD, you might have the actual post-recall manufactured MIC 2.0. This would explain why it's not in the catalog.

The only difference between S and X is 2 or 4 door according to the catalog.
