What material did you use for top of Ford Security Drawer?

I am looking at putting something on top of my Ford security drawer to secure my frig slide and my safe Jack ammo can. I was looking into a slab of polymer of some worth. Any thoughts?

I used something similar to this, not sure if this was the exact one but basically found one slightly larger than the top, cut it to fit and it works great.

Edit - after reading this again I am guessing you want something to add more weight bearing capacity, this definitely wouldn't do that. There is enough space on the sides to build a shelf with legs that could sit on either side of the drawer.
