I plan on my pick to be a dd and we will rarely take it off road. Outside of nasty winters do u think any models will or would require more in service? We are starting to step away from the OB based on what pix are popping up.

The less stuff you have the easier to maintain.

A striped down base model would be the simplest.

A stripped down base will be the cheapest in the long run. Less electronics to fail, smaller tires for less drivetrain wear and tear.

Did you mean, "bd" or "bb"? Sorry, confused by "dd" it can go either way. ?

Regardless, I figure the least amounts of extras the fewer worries about hardware or software problems.

Look at the Big Bend. The Base would also be suitable, but it really is stripped down. I suspect the Base will go away in 2 years as it serves the purpose of marketing a sub $30K rig. Once Broncos hit the road and dealer lots, they will sell themselves without a marketing push to be below $30K.

Maintenance costs will be dominated by tires. Get the smallest cheapest tires.

Yeah, I'm working on my second cup, myself.

Big Bend has optional heated seats. Fairly easy to maintain.

Otherwise, mechanically, it's not going to require anything more than the base model. But, really, that can be said about all of them.

The biggest determining factor to how you maintain your Bronco is going to be how you use it.

Had no idea. Good to know. Tires and wheels make the Bronco so I may need to pony up a few more $$ for the service down the road

Damn right! We're just splitting hairs really. Stock 30's vs 35's might knock a few thousand miles off ball joints and wheel bearings lifespan. Over the course of a vehicles lifetime it's really negligible. The fuel mileage loss going bigger is going to hurt the wallet the most, outside the initial wheels/tires cost of course.
