I installed the 21 offroad flaps that I got through stickerfab (front only). They’re amazing 😑.

I spend little time on gravel but do have to travel on a gravel grade to access trails at the hunt camp. About 4-6 miles total gravel exposure for a trip. I accumulated all this on my first trip post mudflap install.

I’ve got a SAS Badlands with the stock Goodyear territory M/T’s. Not overly interested in switching out tires until these need to be replaced. While I’ll admit that she is a grocery grabbing, kid hauling daily driver…. I still like to take her to have fun. I’m not upset with my “pinstripes”, scuffs or dents in my A-pillars. However, 10+ full thickness chips over 2 trips with mudflaps installed kinda sucks.

Any suggestions from the group? I’m kinda short so like the drop step on my nerf bars. A full running board would probably help but my husband has running boards on his and I feel like I launch my head straight into the roof every time I hop up. I also don’t really like mudflaps so it’s hard for me to want to drop a chunk of change on them…. It’s a conundrum

I’ve contemplated bed liner on my rocker panels but some of the chips are above that. My current idea is to leave the mounting brackets in place and use some 1/4” stall mat that I have to make my own mudflaps that are longer.

I’m not trying to hijack the thread…. May this be a cautionary tale that just because you put them on, does not mean that the rock chips won’t come and also…. Please help

Our Badlands (2dr SAS), which I believe has a different OEM rear bumper than the Wildtrak, doesn't have these 3 bolts.

In any event, whether the bumper (or end-cap) has the 3 bolts or not should be a moot point. The Bronco Rokblokz mud-flaps (both front and rear) do *not* mount or attach to the fender, bumper, bumper end-cap or any nearby trim piece. The mud-flaps are 100% supported by a heavy metal bracket that bolts to the crash bar (front) and frame/body mount (rears). The frame/body mount is the large, silver colored, disc-shaped item (with two nuts/bolts) shown in one of my pics.

Since the Rokblokz mud-flaps do not attach to the bumper in any way, they should work fine with any rear aftermarket bumper---as long as the ends of the aftermarket bumper don't protrude into the wheel well area where the mud-flaps are located.
Thanks, perfect info!

Rokblokz fronts only for me. No offense intended to anyone here, but I think that mudflaps on the rears look terrible. I’d rather not have them at all but trying to protect the paint.

I got a few even after both side steps and large mudflaps were installed. Unbelievable.

You should check out my Dr. Colorchip thread.

Had a piece of plastic sheet i stored between the washer and dryer ,cut it up and it works great.
It will be a cold day when I would feel good about spending 400.00 on a mudflap🙈

Your damage seems to be limited to the lower part of your door. Might consider having some 3M Clear Bra installed in this area. It may not be 100% effective against larger rocks, but it should significantly reduce further damage.

Based on some rough measurements we made, a front mud-flap would have to sit about 4 in. above the ground to prevent dirt/rocks from hitting the door of a stock 2dr SAS. For what it's worth, the front Rokblokz XL longs that we currently use (on a 2dr SAS) sit about 8 in. above the ground. 8 in. keeps dirt/rocks off the front ~2/3 of the door, but not the back ~1/3. As your picture shows, the 21 Offroad mud-flaps (another clone of the IAG/Mabett??) which sit a bit higher than the Rokblokz XL longs, allow dirt/rocks to hit almost the entire length of the door.

I installed the Mabetts, front only, which cut down on some rocks, but am still taking hits. I don't like the look of the long ones as it lowers the visual profile/height of the truck when viewing from the side. Therefore, I suspect I'll need to install Clear Bra, as you suggest, on the lower part of the door. Has anyone done that and have recomendations on pre-cut/dumbed down installation products that have worked?

They are super expensive, but the Gatorbacks have worked very well at stopping rocks and road paint from getting all over my doors.

Mud flaps or mud tires. Those SAS goodyears are notorious for retaining rock from any gravel source. Rokblokz detachable.
