We had temps drop into the 20’s last night and it actually snowed. Was driving my Rubicon this morning and remembered what a nice perk it was to have heated seats/steering wheel.

Does the heated wheel/seats come standard on some trims or does it require the lux package?

Thanks

Just from memory the seats are included in the mid package and the steering wheel is the lux......

I might be mistaken though. But I think that's correct because I was very confused why the two would be separated like that.

It is in the Mid package. I'm in on the Big Bend trim and getting the Mid. I have no use for the heated features and wish it wasn't included. Ford should have had Cold/Warm Climate options for those who need.

They very well maybe separated. My eyes just glaze over when I read about heated options living in a climate that approximates the surface of the sun for 6 months of the year.

I hear ya living in TX I have used my heated steering wheel maybe 3 or 4 times in the 3 years I've had one. I'd rather have cooled seats like my Mom's Lincoln has to be honest.

Those of you living in warm climates saying you don't need heated seats are missing the best use for them.

They make back pain melt away!

One of my first interior mods is to channel the mold trap/rear AC vent under the driver's seat to actually cool my taint.

Well, since there is no B&P yet, no one can be really certain.
Even B&P is limited in info and function and isn't "official" in its capacity.
But yes, from F.com, I'd agree the seats are mid package and the heated wheel is Lux.
Per my experience, the heated wheel is always on the highest trims, but I have only "built" Subarus and Fords. Other manufacturers, even models with in those companies may vary...

What is really needed for understanding "Official" option inclusions and exclusions is the ordering guide.
Pick your options from the order guide, then use the B&P and see what it costs.

funny thing is, I never use my heated steering wheel in my 5
F150, but the seats do get used in the winter

Jeep has the heated steering wheel in a cold weather package available on all trims. Would be surprised if Ford didn't do the same.

Personally, I don't use my heated seats, steering wheel, or heat, cause heat is for city boy woosies!

No, I think it's in the Mid and Lux pack. Never had cooled seats, but do imagine they'd be nice when it's 98 out here in Georgia with 80% humidity in July.

Guess I've gotta just stick to my body powder because you know what they say, "a little sprinkle of powder on the taint, keeps away the stank". Never heard that? Sounds like you can use some magic dust down yonder.

Back pain is a big one.

I never sit in my middle row but when it's super cold out I'll turn on the heated seat and fold the back down, warming up my work gloves like a panini press during the drive to work.
