If I won the lottery I’d probably go buy a Ram TRX and then wait for the Warthog. Otherwise I’ll wait...
If this ain’t the truth

Mercedes GLC 63 AMG. Similar size to the 2 door bronco but with 4 doors and 503 HP. Was all set up last January to take European delivery this past September. When I realized in April that wasn't going to happen I canceled my order. Got on the Bronco band wagon late (this Oct) so I'll probably get a 2022. Can't wait to get my Bronco and save 30K vs the Merc.

I plan on putting about 7500 down on my Bronco. But I gotta save that first so wont happen till the end of 2021 likely. However I have 3 things I am also considering.
1. Paying a local metal master to cut out and replace then paint all the rusted out bits on my 1980 AMC Eagle so I can put the 5.2 Magnum 42RE from my GC or the 258 I6 T5 from my CJ7 (which will likely get a 4.0 head and maybe a ebay turbo) into it. Its basically the same as a bronco 4 door midsized with cargo room and 3500lb towing ability with IFS and a solid rear.
2. Finding a new 1975-1991 Econoline van to adapt the axles from or body swap with my 79 E250 Quadravan 4x4 that burned up the front end a couple years ago. My wife loves laying in a comfy bed on the beach and I love do the same doors open or closed ;). Another side shoot of that option is for me to purchase some aluminum sheet and steel tube to fabricate my own crazy van body for my original chassis complete with gullwing doors. I do have to swap out the C6 trans for a ZF or T18 or something though because that is what caught fire and there is nothing cooler than a manual 4x4 van.
3. And this option is really just putting the Bronco off for a year or so. Though the same could be said for the first 2 options. But we put all our funds into building out our lanai and master bedroom cabin on the other side of it. We hope to add a 10x16 bedroom so our loft in our 12x16 main cabin become our guest bedroom. And we will end up with a 20x16 covered lanai in between the two, complete with dual hammock racks for the wife and I.

Decisions decision.....

Nothing. I am currently in a 17 Raptor with 91k miles and have decided I will trade for the Wildtrak . . . the only thing that could change that is if the Bronco shows up and I am unhappy upon delivery - if that, as unlikely as it may be, is the case I will hold on to the Raptor until the new ones come out and, at that time, I will weigh the F150 Tremor, Suoerduty Tremor with the 7.2 and the 2021 Raptor and make a decision. But I am about 90% sure that by the end of next summer / early fall (I have a day one reservation) that'll I will be in the Bronco.

Bronco is a 3rd vehicle for me next to my daily Camry Hybrid and 2011 STi. Bronco is the ONLY 4x4 I’m considering.. Topless, doorless Manual transmission! I always wanted an early Bronco. I want a 2021. Will be my weekend beach surf fishing rig.

in the meantime I keep looking at cars. I always do

A new STi to replace my 2011

Could get a MachE for about 5k less than todays Bronco build. Would probably get it around the same date also...

I’m a late July reservation and I do expect another round or two of delays from Ford. I’m sure Ford will sort it out eventually but I may move on to something else.

2021 GMC Acadia At4, tows 4k lbs, 26 mpg hwy, 6.1 0 to 60, 130mph top end. Of course not anywhere close to a Bronco off road, but would probably be much better than a Bronco on road, where all of us spend 99% of our driving.

Acadia is junk. Body rust issues on 2019
