I just had the Performance Tune installed and the box comes with a provision for mounting it on the dash? Is there a reason to do this? What does the box itself do for me once the calibration has been installed?

If it's just for logging, why do we need it on the dash and taking up space. Can it be hidden under dash?

I'll tell you what you can't do with it is use it on another Ford vehicle. I confirmed with FRPP techs that you can't buy standalone calibration files. You have to buy a new tune box for every car. So dumb.

It's also what you'd use if you wanted to revert to the stock tune, or if you wanted to make additional adjustments (like change tire size). And logging too.
