What "was" and FE order with MOD top supposed to do to not delay order, yet keep MIC reward points

It was never really clear to me and my dealer was kind of clueless.

Order converted 1/22 with MOD top. Kept the MOD top through 3/19. Called dealer on afternoon of 4/8 and asked to be switched to MIC top.

Hopefully this did not slow down my order or more importantly cause me to loose my 200k Ford Pass rewards.

Was this the proper way to handle the problem??

That holds even if someone had a MOD top originally? Was it necessary to change the top to a MIC or would it have auto converted?

If you ordered MIC top originally, you don’t get the points unfortunately. But the order should have auto-converted to MIC if you didn’t cancel it altogether.

I should have said- MOD top originally. 1/22 MOD top, 4/8 changed to MIC... sorry for the confusion. Hopefully because we manually changed it to MIC it doesn't mess up the points.

My understanding was that if you kept the mod top, your order was pushed to 2022. I do not believe orders “auto” converted.

Yeah but you can’t push an FE to 2022.

Yep.. this was specifically how to handle an FE and not loose the Ford Pass points.

Yeah you’ll definitely get the points. As long as you had the MOD ordered and then switched (or auto-converted for an FE) after they announced MOD was no longer available in 2021. Don’t worry - the points are not yet showing up in our accounts.

For FE's they all get 200K points as long as they take delivery of a MY2021

For other trims, the 200K offer was only good if they had a MOD top on their order before the letter was issued and they take delivery of a MY2021, which would require switching to a soft top only or a MIC top only.

The $1000 Ford Pass Rewards almost covers the difference between a fully loaded/similarly equipped Badlands. I went with the FE SOLEY because I could get the headliner at the time... now that it is available on the BD fully loaded for free plus being able to get the tow package makes the BD almost as desirable... except for the Lightning Blue..

Didn't have to make too many decisions as she is getting the Badlands, I am getting the FE
