What is or was your first accessory? Mine will more than likely be ordering floor liners or heavy duty Matt's of some sort , trailer hitch from dealer, extra key , manual and possibly a roof rack from dealership. Although I have read the hookeroad is a decent system.

My first accessory was a drawer system. I installed the American Adventure Labs P.A.C.S Drawer system because I liked that it would pivot upward to still access the OEM storage below the floor.

I then proceeded to:

Build a platform to level out the back.
Purchased and installed roll cage storage bags.
Installed the HammerBuilt tailgate reinforcement brace.
Removed the OEM soft top and Installed the TOR hard top.
Added the TrailRax Roof Rack.
Installed a bull bar to the front modular bumper.
Installed a hitch receiver.
Installed the Mountains to Metal rear Cargo Tray.
Installed a Mabett tailgate table.
Purchased and IceCo APL fridge, battery, and solar setup for outings.

I'm now looking at a full replacement to the tailgate support, primarily looking at TOR's tire carrier. This is all periodically over the last three years of ownership (2021 model).

BEWARE! You might just catch the accessory bug. I know I did!

I was going to see if they could do a clear wrap on the truck to protect paint

Curt trailer hitch was the must have. Redline hood-struts is diffidently not a must have, but man it's nice just popping the hood, and it going up like they should.

Did you have the dealership program the computer for towing ,? I read you had to do that in order to use the plugs.

Just be aware that if you are having someone programing stuff, there is a whole host of other things that can be programmed, like adding Goat modes, disconnecting auto/stop, changing setting of aux ports, of increasing heating level on a heated steering wheel to name a few. All that info is available of this site, so do research ahead of time.

I was going to have the dealership program the trailer hitch configuration. I might install myself though after reading about the guy here who said they cut bolts and didn't replace.

You don't need to have it programmed for towing. But the towing package includes a seven pin connector. It does not include a trailer brake controller.

With it having a 7 pin connector and the ability to control brakes but no brakes, usually those trailers with brakes are double axle and 7000 lb trailers. Why would they give you something and say you can't tow with it ?

I ordered up the essentials first.
Screen Protector
All weather Mats
Front license plate holder
(no drilling holes for me)
I ordered mudflaps that are still not on, because I ended up with running boards that I would never have bought, that do an amazing job of blocking stones.
Autostop Eliminator not my first rodeo with this
oh yea, Hood struts

And of course I went on a spending spree to get lots of other stuff. And am still not done, I was hoping to have my skids by now, and some other stuff, but life happens. Getting there.

I would think most dealers will install in correctly, with that said, seeing the new price Ford is charging* for the tow Package, if you are at all handy, I would recommend doing it yourself, it's a fairly easy job. Just pay for the software unlock, but even that is not absolutely needed.

* I think the price went up so much, so fast, because of dealer push back now that the responsibility is on them.
