Inquiring minds want to know.........
My 2021 Bronco will be like a 1964 1/2 Mustang, not a 1983 Corvette.

The original Mustang did not have the same options/content as the 1965. Also, much like the "Mansquatch" and black/white/color matching hardtop not being available, the fastback version of the Mustang was not available until the "full" 1965 version.

Today, many collectors actively search out and value the 1964 1/2 version over the 1965, even though the 1965 had some real upgrades.

I think you are probably right.....in that although those first-year Mustangs were being sold in April of 1964, they were given 1965 U.S. standard VIN numbers.

Assuming Bronco manufacturing gets going sometime in the spring of 2021.......they may get 2022 VIN numbers and in the end there may wind up being no such thing as a "2021"........ just like the so-called 1964-1/2 Mustangs are actually 1965 models.
