So I have a bit of a problem. I get a new truck every year this was my sierra when I had it. Also had a half ton Sierra before my black Silverado. Are you thinking about an HD?

I used to be a big GMC fanboy and drove a 1500 before getting tired of 9mpg due to 6" lift/35" tires and traded for a new Grand Cherokee. Miss it every day and am torn between Raptor or Powerstroke/Duramax if I ever got a truck again to sit beside my Bronco. What's your reasoning to go Duramax over Powerstroke?

I’m probably the worst person to ask about that. I’ve never driven a power stroke or Cummins so I could only speak about the GM trucks that I drove. I had a 2018, the last body style and this new body style is light years ahead of it ride quality wise. I feel that the interior is nice and it would be perfect if the screen was a little bit bigger but I’m basing that off the competition. All the buttons are in the right places and easy to find. The camera system is amazing with the truck being as big as it is there are no blind spots. The 10 speed transmission is amazingly smooth you really can’t tell when it’s shifting. I kind of miss the T 1000 out for its firm shifts. The fuel mileage my 2018 was better, but its also smaller. Gm always under rates their trucks. My advice would be to drive both and see which one you like better and can get a better deal on.

Respectfully loving the irony of having a $100k electric SUV and going with a Bronco.

The LX with fresh AHC reservoirs and 34s is the best riding on road vehicle I've ever owned. The hydraulic suspension is an absolute beast.

The model Y Long Range has the acceleration boost and even with the extra weight of the seven seat config, was easily faster launching than my 2020 Supra. Handling and steering is a little vague. My wife loves it.

Been looking at a Model Y for my wife - what's your honest opinion?

Garage instead of driveway. The “land boat” never fails to fail me. I have a love hate with this machine however parts are getting more rare to keep the Humvee running.

The bronco can’t come soon enough so I can start using that to off-road. Instead of always taking trekking a vehicle to trails that can only go 65 mph.

Best infotainment system hands down. Been enjoying watching Netflix or Hulu on it while the kid is in her gymnastics class recently. It launches pretty aggressively and is a good wife car. I catch her speeding in it constantly, might turn it down to chill mode for her.

The autopilot stuff is decent, I'm used to comma.ai self driving stuff and that was totally hands free. Tesla makes you touch the steering every 15 seconds and just that much annoys me. Every once in a while it'll phantom brake but it's been super rare for me.

Charging at home is far far cheaper than gas. We average under 10 cents per kwh and a full charge lasts her over a week with a large safety margin. She enjoys never getting gas, I enjoy doing no maintenance on it, it's great.

Damn thing has appreciated since we bought it. I think because the new ones don't have radar and this one from Q1 2021 still has radar. White interior looks cool and has been surprisingly easy to keep clean with two kids under 5.

I hate how it handles and drives. It's vague steering everywhere and I honestly have no idea where it ends or where it's corners are. The LX dwarfs it but is easier to park because I know turning the steering wheel a single turn turns it a specific amount. With the Y, no idea. My wife has managed to curb both back wheels and I really can't blame her for it. She's never curbed a wheel before, even our Odyssey had better steering feel and driving dynamics.
