I love my soft top and soft doors. I can throw them in the back at a moments notice and I keep them on my Jeep roughly 8 months out of the year. The doors are far from perfect, can flap in the wind (I fixed this with some zip ties), and will always let in a bit of water, but the flexibility they offer is unmatched.

EDIT: My Jeep is also my daily driver.

And then there are trails like this. You need doors on to protect yourself.

I saw a guy get his left thigh impaled by a branch because the front of the vehicle turned unexpectedly and caused the limb to recoil back into the cabin while he was wheeling with doors off. Was not pretty.

My cousin's wife nearly lost her right eye from snap back on the trail. Just some random overhang that he didn't see poked right into the passenger's side.

Yeah, I won't take my wife off roading with the doors off. Nature trumps human soft tissue every time.

Edit: To be clear, I meant the hill country trails where there's lost of brush. In the lowlands and sand deserts we'll run doors off, I'm sure.
