Am looking into this route. I was going to go rattle can but was curious if you followed through with this
Waiting on the Paint delivery.
Around $100 from Auto Touchup.
2-Spray cans of base and clear, 1-Primer.
I do this a lot at our Hot Rod Shop. Wears like iron, if done correctly… 400 grit light sand, degrease, primer(30 minutes), base (30 minutes), clear (a week). Those are wait times - all in 1-day. All base coats within a few minutes. Let clear set about a week. To guarantee great flow, hit with a heat gun between coats.

I’ll post when done!

Has anyone come across a picture of a Cactus Gray + Blue Wheels? I think it might be a stretch.

I recommend dark wheels on light Broncos, and vice versa. This became apparent when the argent steelies looked like the crap they are on Cactus or White Broncos. Damned if they (same crappy wheels) looked (can’t believe I’m admitting this) pretty good on Antimatter Blue or the Reds. I’ve got nothing against steelies, as I love the Black ones that come with the BD trim level.

The dirt is why I'm leaning away from black wheels... takes a lot to keep em looking good. I like that dirt look!

The stock wheels are tough to keep clean. I applied ceramic coating (not cheap spray on stuff, the real deal) to my entire rig, including the wheels, and they take some work to clean even after foam canon and pressure washer. It’s still the honeymoon phase so this level a clean won’t last much longer. Anyway thought you might want to see some pics after they‘re cleaned up. Another poster mentioned the stock rings look good with Cactus Gray and I think they’re were spot on so maybe a lighter color could look good. I can’t say I like my carbonized gray better than stock but I do like the fact they‘re different than stock and still look pretty good.
