There is no break in production. The 2021 model is effectively the same as the 2022 model, so there is little to no retooling on the final assembly line that needs to be redone.

At the moment the last day for 2021 is 12/14, and 2022 production starts in 12/15. May get pushed a few days if they don't finish the 2021 builds in time.

How are we supposed to know what issues are going to get fixed on the 22MY without actually having a 22 in our hands? We arenā€™t going to know whatā€™s been fixed and what remains and what new issues it has until they actually start getting delivered and people drive them.

will all issues be fixed ? No, but fixes will hopefully be implemented over time

With break in production will they regroup and get act together ? Nope

when does 22 production start up ? It's probably more seemless than you think. No real changes for the new model, some parts just added to the line and keep it moving

I imagine they fix issues as they go

My 12/13 MY22 has been pushed to 12/20 already. So either they are still behind or the fun has begun of getting pushed every other week.

I wonder if all the 2021ā€™s will be shipped out before MY22 starts shipping.

Normally they will take one shift, maybe two, to do a model year changeover.

In this case, the only change they need to do is empty two of the paint reservoirs, purge the lines, and fill them with the new colors.

"Fixes" are implemented in line as "Job Numbers"

Not even that, no? Arenā€™t the panels and frames painted elsewhere and just put together on the line?

I like to think that my eruption green frame is out there somewhere already, waiting for itā€™s 12/20 build date.

Um, definitely not.
Iā€™m going to be so bummed if people start getting their MY22 before I get my MY21 thatā€™s been in production for weeks.
