How did you do that when ordering is shut down?

the dealer told me in late March that Ford had shut down orders for 22, so we put a deposit on 23. Then they called in April a said the Ford was allowing them to place orders for 15 more 22’s. We used the deposit for the 23.
It's a complete unknown. Depends on your dealers allocations, if they actually did place the order, (I'd want to see a confirmation from Ford. Call Ford !), On constraints... And after all that, there's thousands and thousands of builds ahead of you.
So you're saying there's a chance they will get it before those that have waited two years?
Yes there is. That's the system now. The order timestamp matters more within your dealer than it does to Ford. Allocations are king there.
It might be a while depending on many factors as others have mentioned.
Same here, Oct 21 order with no reservation. Every time I call Ford they confirm that the order is submitted and they have it, but no update on when I will get a VIN or any other information. After not receiving last weeks build schedule email, I am only slightly hopeful that I will get a 22.
