When the dealer is just wrong....

I just need to vent a little, I guess... but still curious if any of your dealers still showing wrong pics or info about the bronco in your area??

Lots of dealers around my place are more focused on Bronco sport then anything else lately. Almost have to argue with them, that it ain't the biggest bronco.

Or worst, when they know of the Bronco, they push and show images of concepts which we all know won't happen. Think they need to hop on forums or groups to find more about what is really going on. Just play find the 7 mistakes game... They show images like these and still insist that it will indeed look like this.

Yeah I have to agree from the start most dealers have been lacking on information or reluctant to even educate themselves on the Bronco. This is what has made @StephensAutoCenter and @Granger Ford so desirable to do business with if you're lucky enough to be close by it may be worth looking into

Yes. My original dealer got confused when I told him I reserved a 4-door Bronco BL and not a Bronco Sport. He seemed like he didn’t know the difference. He then told me that the 4-door Bronco didn’t come in Cyber Orange, only the Bronco Sport comes in CO.

I don't want to defend the dealers too much but mine has shown me what Ford Canada has sent them internally. It is laughably little. It's no wonder that they are ill-informed. I assume most dealers focus on selling what they have on the lot....not familiarizing themselves with a truck that they won't see for months and won't be able to sell for even longer.

This is just typical dealership mentality, sell what you have if you can. My former reserving dealer’s sales manager thought it was funny when I mentioned the term Bronco specialist. I gave them one chance to match Stephens, or at least give me their best deal on my build, nothing. I switched.

Unfortunately this is a result of Ford's rather poor launch strategy and also the inherent nature of sales.

Ford should have done a much better job of conducting launch training for dealers.

Dealerships can't sell vaporware. If it ain't in the catalog they can't sell it.

Combine these two factors and you can see the result. Praise the Lord dealers like @Granger Ford are able to think and act for themselves and make a conscious effort to go get the information and be proactive in preparing to sell rather than rely on what's only been handed to them by Ford.

Dealerships who have not been proactive are at a severe disadvantage - and that's ok.

I should be grateful that my dealer has remained silent. I know that I know more than he does so far, so I haven't asked for much. We've stayed in touch only, finally, yesterday, he said he'd be calling this week with lots of details....so they may finally be getting info. We'll still know more, lol....

I've always known more about the car I was going to buy than the salesman. Granted he could probably teach me how to synch my phone and some of the tech stuff that I don't give a damn about but I could teach him about anything else. I need to know how to turn on XM radio and where the AC knob is, I got the rest covered.
