Sun and rain protection. In the south a mesh bimini is not enough sun/heat block for me, it gets hot and it will keep most rain out if you get caught out in it. I ran one all summer in my Jeeps. Not being mean or anything, but what is the point in something like this? Is it just the looks you like? Does it have some additional function? Interested to know.
But why not just go with the full soft top?Sun and rain protection. In the south a mesh bimini is not enough sun/heat block for me, it gets hot and it will keep most rain out if you get caught out in it. I ran one all summer in my Jeeps.

All good points, thanks.Summer Rain protection - I would like something able to put up real quick, but not a full softtop.
Looks - looks better than the softtops
Smaller footprint when not installed - so I can swap to hardtop quickly without having to worry about all the parts of a softtop bending, breaking, or getting lost.
For a more open ride. Like I said it gets hot down here. But why not just go with the full soft top?
I still dont understand how this is easier than the existing soft top.All good points, thanks.
There will be tons of options, just give it some time.
2 yrs later, still waiting.OK - I really want this - and leads on which manufacturer and when something like this would be ready ? I know - no one knows for sure - but it is on my wish list.
