I was just sitting here thinking where will the Bronco be in 10 years?
Mine will still be in my driveway. I’m not smart enough to figure out the rest.

Hopefully it’s still going strong, so I can follow through with what I told my daughter and give her my bronco when she gets her license in 8 years.

I believe we've only seen the tip of the iceberg on modularity and customization.

And I think within 10 years, we'll also see a green and a tan :)

I hope it'll be in my driveway with some 100k miles on it, still looking pretty. Time will tell....

Hopefully in 10 years EV technology is far enough along that I can have an all electric bronco that gets great mpg and can go 0-60 around 3 seconds.
we will have to build a lot more coal fired power plants for that..china has 194 under construction ..last new coal fired plant in US was 2018..one more will come online. After that none. Regs make super expensive to build.

china is going full electric cars, they don’t have the infrastructure for gas powered cars..but last I checked we had a global environment..so much for reality. While we are opening natural gas power plants..no where near the amount needed if just 15% of automobiles run on plug in electric..we are currently at 1% +/- marketshare for plug in electric. Japan is moving to 100% hydrogen powered fuel cells and putting billions into direct hydrogen engines and Europe is now also heading that way. The problem is not new battery storage technologies, the problem is production of electricity ..we are no where near the amount needed..it’s a disaster in the making for sure.

And we are selling China the coal to be burned in the plants. They really worry about the global warming. Try to protest there about it. The question is not where the bronco will be in 10 years, it's where will we be. Storm clouds are gathering.

In ten years we may see batteries store a ton and charge super fast. And hyper-efficient solar panels. And you'll only be able to buy gasoline for special events.

I also suspect that actually happens conversions of ICE to battery will be a massive industry.

...really pushing for EV, but hopefully in 10 years the battery technology will be way better than it is now.
About that ... Less than an order of magnitude change in 100 years. Don't hold your breath for the magical pixie powered batteries that will make all the limitations and tons of toxic waste generated disappear.

The first generation went 11 years, I hope this one has the same success.

FJ Cruiser was hit hard by the 2008 economic woos resulting in higher gas prices and huge decline in buying power ..... I don't see that happening to the Bronco
you don’t see an economic recession or rising fuel prices in the next 10yrs??

i wish I shared your optimism.

The 10 year plan involves the Bronco being the vehicle I teach my daughter to drive in. Then I'll hopefully give it to her when she's old enough (assuming she passes MY driving test). She's 8 now.

I thought it was hit by no one being able to see out the dang thing. Outward visibility is abysmal on those things.
