Seeing the recent photos of the Carbonized Grey and Iconic Silver got me thinking about trying to recreate this look - grey/silver with white top/grill and polished mag wheels (kidney beans)
Any opinions on which color would best pull it off?

Much closer to Iconic Silver than Carbon Gray. Although it's a little darker.

Iconic silver is closer to the picture you posted.

while a different look I think Area 51 would be nice in this configuration as well

How in the world did people in the '60s live without heated seats & steering wheels - or cupholders?

They had giant balls.

If you have ever owned a 50's car, you'll also know that most of the time the in-cabin heater was a dealer add-on which was often an open flame burning gasoline (taken before the fuel pump in the engine bay) and a 6v electric fan.... Soooooo you were sweating your giant balls off, in a cabin with an open flame and burnt gasoline fumes.

Thankfully these days you can switch to a purely electric 6v heater mounted to the fire wall. It's still hot enough to roast your giant balls off.

thanks all, i dug slightly deeper and learned that this particular color is from 1996 Ford Fruck colors and called Light Opal - pretty sweet color but not a bronco original

Iconic Silver looks much better in person than in photos. It has a "liquid" sense to it. I added it to the list of potential colors when Mustang shopping. I had ruled out silver based on the previous Ingot Silver which isn't nearly as interesting. Even though Iconic is not quite as dark, I'd stick with that and just add the partial wrap for the white. Though Carbonized would still look nice as well.

It was the 60s...they either were high and didn't care, or used "group warmth" (if you get my reference)

Heck...that's why the VW was so popular...and its coming back for 2022. But you'll need to add your own flower decals, incense burner, and shag carpet in the rear.
