Bronco enthusiasts and owners-to-be may be frustrated at the Bronco reveal delay, but at least Ford has been using the time to apply its engineering and manufacturing expertise to help combat the coronavirus. Check out Engineering Explained's feature on Project Apollo and the impressive engineering by Ford.

Great to see Ford's resources were being used to help out and gave engineering a chance think outside the box from what they're used to.

I like the reason they called it Project Apollo. Read this in an article:

"Ford said its partnerships were code-named “Project Apollo” after the Apollo 13 launch in 1970 when a lunar landing was aborted after an oxygen tank failed two days into the mission, forcing the astronauts to improvise a fix."

Appropriate considering the rushed timeline and how the engineering involved delivering oxygen.

When it comes down to the wire, Ford always does the right thing, time and time again.

I love seeing this. I have a lot of faith in Ford surviving and thriving in the future years because of the "American pride" they stir up with decisions like this. That being said I specifically asked Ford for some additional Bronco information on my birthday (today), but I don't see anything new..... sigh

Seeing stuff like this makes me ever more proud to buy another Bronco from them. If you're not helping, you're hurting.

Definitely worth the added wait to see the good we can do as a county so we all can move past this pandemic.
