For the 2.3L and 2.7L bronco that's a solid setup and I really don't feel the need to recommend any other tuning products to you at this time. Keep in mind this specific listing is for the Bronco Raptor.
Thx, I still have long term item to replace the filter box. Low on the list. Just keeping my eyes open for other real opportunities

I agree, when the cooler came out there was NO dyno testing done, and the air intake most likely doesn't do much either as the raptor has a good system to start with. so in this case it appears it's all tune. Id pay for the tune only but not for all the other stuff I don't need.
Curious as well to see what tune alone does. after watching the install videos, it bugs me even more like they rushed this product to market. zip tying a motor to a mount is not a good solution, having to cut factory plastic, removing shrouds, not working well with factory shutters. i get space is limited but there shouldnt need that many mods needing to be done to make it work if more r&d was spent

is there a dyno for the tune alone? On the product page it shows the same
dyno chart as the intercooler package tune
At the moment we only have numbers for the cal with the intercooler as the intercooler was already on the vehicle before the cal testing started. I’m sure we’ll have some results of the tune only shortly. Once we do we’ll be sure to share the results with the forum.

Would be great to see a tune only option. I suspect the intercooler isn't really offering much benefit.
I had the Roush 93 octane tune on a 3.5L Ecoboost V6 in a F150. The tune from came with a Roush cold air intake, which was installed with the tune. I ended up adding an intercooler upgrade within 3 or 4 months because she was running a little hot for my liking. Ended up keeping that truck 9 years and it was still going strong when I sold it. If you’re planning on selling the bronco or you could probably skip the intercooler, but if you’re in it for the long-haul, this is the right way to do it.

Was the base run on 87 octane, 91 or 93? That makes a big difference in the performance gap..

The base run was on 91. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks!

A couple of questions:

1. Was this run at operating temperature or cold? We all know that if an engine isn't run at operating temperature, then the dyno results are moot since the engine will never actually run in that state on the road.
2. How long was the sweep time?
3. Did you do any steady state testing?

I checked the website and there isn't a lot of information regarding the dyno test.

So it seems you saw some high temps without the whipple intercooler? Are these unsafe temps or is it safe to run Just the tune alone?
I don't believe there were any issues with heat at all. We run the JB4 on our Braptor with the stock IC and haven't experienced any issues either. We'll be installing the Whipple IC this week though as we know a higher flowing and more efficient intercooler will keep IAT2 temps down and prevent loss of power from heat soak.

Personally I wouldn't be worried at all about running the Whipple cal on a completely stock Braptor. That's what they designed the tune for.

I had the Whipple tune on the 2.7L in my First Edition and the power increase was noticeable. It even was smoother than stock with their transmission tuning and I got slightly better gas mileage as well. Had over 12k trouble free tuned miles on it before trading it on my Raptor R. I would expect the same quality for just the Whipple tune without their IC upgrade.

@LethalPerformance

If you are installing the Whipple Megacooler on your vehicle, will you be looking to find a way to retain the shutters and possibly make improvements to the mounting frame brackets?
