That's great news. Thanks for digging into this, will be very helpful to me in the next week or two!Update: the friendly folks at the Ford marketing customer service line are able to provide this data!
Yes, I tried this! My car has no new info other than the loading / initial tracking line item. But will be useful in future days hopefully! From other forums talking about tracking a Ford vehicle transported by rail, it looks like you just need the rail car #, and you can get updates by calling in. Here is the instructions that were posted.
What did you ask them exactly? What your railcar number was?Update: the friendly folks at the Ford marketing customer service line are able to provide this data!
Yes! It’s in the “secondary status” field. What did you ask them exactly? What your railcar number was?
Ok. I’m going to give them a call tomorrow. My window sticker date updated yesterday and then again today - so I’m assuming something is happening.Yes! It’s in the “secondary status” field.
As of a short time ago, mine is somewhere between Wayne, MI and Walbridge, OH which is… not that much progress, but I’ll take it
They told me that is info they cannot provide to customers.Yes! It’s in the “secondary status” field.
In that case, your dealership shoulddddd be able to?They told me that is info they cannot provide to customers.
I guess they are already getting too many calls on it.
Takes 3-4 weeks to reach you. Trail is slow slow slowYep!

I would still pay destination charge and pick it up from MAP if they offered. Be a great marketing campaign to have scheduled MAP deliveries.Unfortunately, that is typically the case with rail shipments. There are only a few intermodal hubs where the vehicles can be offloaded and shipments consolidated for dispatch via truck to the end destination. 3-4 weeks in transit is normal; and I know we (at work) have seen worse. The only thing good about rail shipments, is the price - but you DO get what you pay for.
