Unfortunately they suspended their dividend in March
I know, I'm hanging onto Ford for the foreseeable future. Dividends will come back, the Ford family wants their paycheck.

I am not buying Ford stock because there others that will provide a much better return. After watching Tesla for several years I bought some last year, but at the current price level, I would say even Tesla is a hold for me. I wouldn't put a buy rating on any domestic auto stocks even with their push into EVs.

Me too, just not as much as I had at one time. It’s always had a pretty good dividend yield. I bought a few thousand shares when Ford stock dipped to a dollar, and mostly cashed out when it hit $17. Helped me pay cash for my wife’s vehicle.

Because the Ford family has class B stock, you’ll never see prices rocket like Tesla. The bears don’t like any semblance of “control”. The family is traditionally risk-adverse.

The stock’s highest was mid-$40s during the dot-com bubble...but the risks that Ford took (w Nassar) at that time almost led to its demise years later. I’d rather it stay stable and pay out a decent dividend.

I bought Ford, Chrysler and GM when they were down earlier this year. Currently up 21%, 54%, 30% respectively. They may not be sexy like some other stocks, but that was a time to buy. Not sure about now.

By the way, I never bought a stock on my own until March of this year. Total newb. Not giving advice, but I jumped in the game in March, and so far don't regret it.

I bought 100 shares just for the xplan. Could have went with the mustang club but I’m having a hard time seeing Ford stock go much lower. It’s definitely not a big money making investment but doubt it loses money before I get my bronco.

I bought $5k of it when it was $4 in March and then $6 in July. Made about $800 so far but I’m holding until after Bronco come out. I’d expect it hit mid $8s when Bronco and new Ranger are big hits. Wish I would have bought $5k of party city stock instead. I’d buy the Bronco with cash if i did that!

One good product does not necessarily equate an investable company.

Ford does not have any market advantage over other car makers.

Tesla had the EV market all to itself and even now has an advantage over the various brands trying to play catch-up.

Ford has been late to the EV market and will be just another auto maker with some Hybrid and EVs.

Doubt the Bronco has anything to do with anything. They might get a bump later from the complete overhaul in execs.
