I often do a quick wash of only the hood & windshield and maybe the front side windows. The sides usually have some mud spray and require a more thorough wash and of course within a matter of days there is mud on the sides again. So I squirt a little car wash soap on a sponge and only wash the hood & windshield, the side simply get a quick spray. Anybody else guilty of this sloth like behavior?

I'm guilty of a quick spray to get the heavy stuff off periodically but when it's time for a wash it's all or nothing.

About all mine gets is I'll usually spray it down after doing the yard but last true wash it got I broke out the ladder and got the top of the white mod top so when it does get washed I'll spend a couple of hours on it.

That is the equivalent of washing your face and not your crotch.

At home, I can't just wash part of it, because if i don't dry it off it leaves really bad water spots. That's with a water softener... just part of living where I live I suppose. I'm not good enough at spraying to get just the top half and not get the bottom half wet - I need to figure out how to defy gravity or flip the Bronco upside down I guess.

So it's all or nothing, or have to fight getting water spots off. That said, I've got a full wash and dry down to about 20 minutes now.

Have only washed the windows and headlights since late June, top was off most of the time. Benefit of a white Bronco, it still looks clean for the most part! :)

Cactus Gray also hides the dirt well  I wash mine about twice a year, but always make sure to keep a good layer of wax/ceramic coating underneath all the dust.

The roof has been off and doors off and on for over a month now (finally cooled down 10 degrees here). Been washing only the bugs off the windshield for most of that time. I did however give most of it a careful spray with my cheap pressure washer a couple weeks ago or so. We’re in a long drought and it’s dusty as hell here.

I dunno man, we got lots of bugs (and even a couple birds) I've had on the grill/hood, but most of the mud sprays like the runs down the side and glops on everywhere underneath. I've had softball size mud balls plop out on the ground after a day out at a park following some rain.

I routinely wash mine with the top off. Control and command of the hose is allthe expertise required.

Have a pack of the Costco window spray cans with a pack of their blue paper towels in the back.

Clean window almost daily. My commute is through back roads during prime insect hatch hours it seems and the window gets bad fast.
