No one said better. I think I was stupid to pay MSRP but I’m cool with it. You’re just way more stupider to pay mark up on a mass produced car.

Funny enough above msrp paid in full is almost 100 percent likely far better than people who have big car payments getting absolutely rekt on interest.

I kick and screamed to get loaded trims below msrp at 15 dealers but they don’t budge much in Washington. Especially Seattle since everyone is loaded or broke. Drove 200 miles south and got a 20k markup down to 4.5 over with a leather upgrade owed to us I’m scheduling now. I’m content

I stumbled onto mine at MSRP plus the cost of dealer installed mods (hood scoop, leveling kit, wheels & tires, fender flares.) Mods and vehicle specs were at the request of original order customer who walked away before delivery. Dealership was stuck with the custom vehicle and the money they’d put into it. I flew in, picked it up, and spent about 4 days driving it a shade under 2000 miles home (which was half the fun!)

Paid 3k ADM. Not ashamed. Sold my 2022 Maverick driven a year to the dealer for 7k more than I paid before turning around and making the Bronco deal. Hard not to be happy about it. It’s the one I wanted. May have paid a little more sales tax that way. But it worked in my favor. Less haggle and less in the deal for them to play games with.

Sorry, at that much ADM (and on a price increased 2022) I would have "walked" and at the time bought a dealer demo Defender 90.

Funny thing is that right now in the state of Washington is the lowest priced brand new Defender 110 in the country at LESS than the msrp of my Bronco.

Sounds like good idea, except the top and doors no longer come off the Defender and you can’t get a manual transmission anymore.

I call BS on only 5% of responders paying ADM. I paid a reasonable ADM at the time when 3 year old Tacomas were selling for over original MSRP and my used 2 year old STi was worth original MSRP. I was an early reservation holder, switched dealers, ordered and waited and my dealer had an almost exact build come in but were asking $15k over at the time. I negotiated it way down to what I thought was acceptable. I think paying up to $5k over depending on trim was acceptable at the time And I have never paid more than MSRP on a vehicle.

If dealer didn’t have almost my exact build(Velocity Blue 2 door 7m/t Badlands), I would have waited for my MSRP order.

-$5500 under MSRP after -$1000 below invoice and price protections, thanks SAC!

ADM is for suckers.

Why is this so Taboo? I paid 10k over but privately sold my vehicle at the time for about 16k more than I paid! The one I bought was my spec except color and I like the color I have now over what I ordered (Silver vs Cactus).

Finances are different for everyone and I don't ever miss that 10k it took me to get my ride and jump the line.

Save the hate, if you can't swing the ADM no worries they are going away. If you want to vilify someone who did pay it save the energy.

Technically paid under MSRP for 22.5 Badlands, but that was because of price protection for 10/20 reservation

Some of you guys have amazing stories up above. With a time constraint from getting robbed at our house and losing a car and a child under a year old needing to be drove to daycare as we both work full time, I went ham for a month trying to achieve what y’all did for a bronco.

Im still happy on what we got, a 23 Wildtrak loaded with hoss 3.0 62k msrp at 66 pre tax.

However this is easily the most expensive car I’ve ever had so I get why people held out. If you can wait, you can achieve good deals for sure. I agree with y’all on that.

Glad everyone is chiming in and wow I am amazed at how many got discounts. And many of those getting discounts and where is that thread 😁. And actually it’s not as bad as it seems to be for those getting the bend over treatment😳. To play the devils advocate wonder how many would be unhappy if the market in country tanked and people pulled back buying cars which in turn the dealer and manufacture gives you a huge discount upon delivery. And or for all those who signed a sales price agreement 1 plus years ago the dealer forces you to pay full retail😬. Yeh I get it and if my dealer says ADM I walk and will wait another day. Ford never said they would only build so many Broncos. The market will adjust down the road and for those who are patient you will be rewarded😎
I'm sure there are many people that got hit with ADM, walked away and deleted this forum from their Lives, never to be heard from again. My way of saying the ADM poll results are under-represented.
