I have thought about this. But I've never used flex tape. Does it come off clean?

My man…this is a joke, right?
I was half joking. But, I'm curious what's going to happen when a couple of inches or so of snow and/or ice accumulate on the roof. Especially with the seal issues I've been seeing pop up. Seems like prime entry point for moisture against those open edges.

I think as a joke I am going to make a cardboard and flex tape or gorrila tape(since its better) hardish top. Just to see how it goes. Would be fun.

Just flex tape the whole thing, it’ll probably last much longer that way!

I've had some accumulating snow on it, but I park in a garage over night so not a lot of constant ice buildup. No issues so far.

Just pick up one of those 3m window kits and a hairdryer and you'll be set. ;)

Depending on your budget.....
Tarp - $
Metal one bay carport on dirt - $$
Metal two bay carport on dirt - $$1/2
Add concrete to either option add $$
Build your own carport out of wood - $$$
2 car garage - $$$$$
