My dealer still doesn't admit/acknowledge/know that ordering starts on the 20th, claims not to know anything about allocations and is unaware of the order guide being out.

I can't tell if they are even telling the truth- it's a large dealer and I spoke to the GM and Fleet manager in a conference call Friday after I made a stink about switching Bronco specialists because my first was an idiot. He tried to talk to me about the Sport.

Am I alone in the obliviousness?

I just got back from a local dealer too. The salesperson there DOES have a clue but her opinion is that many sales folks are old school and don't do their homework.

If the GM doesn't know about ordering....maybe you should think about switching. And after you switch (via the Ford customer service desk) call the dealership, talk to the GM and tell them why they just lost a sale.

I feel that mine knows more than they are leading on, possibly being overly cautious until they get a handle on things. Can't say I blame them, if they are following any of this shit show. Hopefully I'll be scheduled in soon, and get a better feeling.

I emailed mine and asked 5 questions after allocations were released.

All I got back in the response was “The latest word is the order banks are opening next week.”

I have a feeling most people on the sales floor aren’t paying attention. I got an email from a sales rep at my dealer after I made my reservation in July. I emailed her yesterday after seeing info about allocations and confirmation that ordering starts next week. Her response was to tell me that sports were starting to come in and that the “big bronco” won’t be out until next year. Ironically, I got the email from Ford about ordering right after I responded back that her information didn’t appear to match the articles, videos, and forums. She told me she would double check. I later received an email that the bronco specialist at the dealership would be calling to set up appointments when the order banks open. It made me feel a little better that my dealer apparently does have a bronco specialist, but I question why they aren’t handling it from the start. My dealer isn’t a little dealer either and told me in October that they have a couple hundred reservations, so you’d think they would try to be on the ball a little better.

Yep- My dealer has 300+ reservations and no plan. They kept blaming Ford for not sharing info- I suggested they go read Bronco Nation and B6G.. No way to deny that BN is not official Ford information...

I’ve had to initiate contact twice now. Last email in October said they were waiting to see how the allocations would play out. Plan on waiting until orders open up to see if they want to communicate with me for a potential sale. Might even let it go until February then send an email about where I reside in the pecking order then dump them if there’s no chance. I plan on getting Lux so I’m more than likely waiting for them to make some chips for a while anyways.

They have current monthly goals to be hitting and the full-size bronco being so far out doesn't help them hit bonus/goal this month. They dont have time to be researching on the forums as they need to be making calls, setting up appts, sit downs for this month. If the dealerships didnt restructure the pay plans for the bronco specialists then shame on them. The sales mgrs could give 2 craps right now about vehicles being sold in 6-8 months, doesnt help their commission checks this month. The dealerships that are embracing this release are the ones devoting their time/energy, communicating and will set them apart from their surrounding dealerships once the broncos hit the dealers.

I made my own reservation with my dealer yesterday...not about to wait for them to call me. The only time they contacted me was when i placed my reservation in July. No other coms that started from then since then so I’m being proactive now...don’t want to change dealers since it’s the closest...don’t care if it costs an arm and a leg in the end, just wanna get the bronco ASAP and drink beers at home right after.

Shame though there are quite a few like that near me. I had to go 2 hours away to find a dealer that not only knows what is going on but is active on these boards.

Yes mine doesn’t seem to know much, still won’t tell me how they are pricing the vehicle.

You can't expect too much. Ford salesmen can't be bronco fanboys like us. They are looking for their next sale, so concentrating on the 30 or so vehicles available now for sale. Not one that is still half a year away.

That said, it is scary no one at your dealer has a clue. Do you at least have a cost guarantee?

Mine knows less than I do IMO. I emailed them about the latest info and they didn't even bother to send me a form email back.

Yes on cost from the Fleet manager/GM...

I have to imagine that with 300 reservations they would be getting bombarded... I understand that they are not making RIGHT now.. heck, I could probably be easily talked into an F350 right now instead of two Broncos. It wouldn't take much. A Badlands Bronco is more expensive than the crew cab F350XL 7.3 truck I have built in B&P.
