Why didn't Ford integrate the keypad into pillar?

That is stating the obvious. So if the doors are off, what does it really matter where the pad is. Lol.
The reason Ford put it on the door was so Bronco6g can have another 23 page thread bitching about Ford.
Seems legit.
To use the parlance of the times, “ you nailed it!”. Post of the day. The stuff folks moan and groan about concerning the Bronco is insane.

It's pretty simple really. If you like one, get one. If you don't, then don't worry about getting one and don't worry about why others get one for their Bronco.

Careful what you say ‘round here. Trigger the wrong person and you’ll find a horse head next you in bed tomorrow morn, courtesy of the 6G Mafia.
Countless pages of bitching and complaining and useless info is where it’s at in this day and age of social media look at me garbage.

Super! Any problem prying it off the door?
I didn't have to pry mine off. I ordered it as a separate accessory and dealer just had it programmed and ready to go so I could put it where ever

Mine is on the truck from the factory. I don't think it's a big deal to remove. I'll ask my detailer if he can remove it, along with the OBX sticker on the fender.

The numbers on two lock buttons are worn off it's used so much. I've gotten to the point where I can hit both buttons with my elbow if my hands are full. I don't even remember my code but rather the sequence to hit the buttons to unlock.
Same, if someone needs in and I go to tell them the code, I have a brain fart moment and then it slowly comes to me. If I walk up to it, I just press buttons and it unlocks...
🤣

Apparently, some folks like to leave their keys in the Vehicle all the time. I suppose that's a convenience for them. I'd worry that my truck would end up missing because the casual thief popped open the door, jumped in, tried the start button and low and behold, it started right up. Bye-bye Bronco. I can hear them thinking, "Wow my parts stripper is going to love having one of these to part out".
I guess it depends on where you choose to live...

Most Ford vehicles I've seen have the keypad on the door frame. Maybe the design of the door had something to do with the key pad not being able to ve built in?
What the heck, I'll chime in... IMHO Ford didn't want to spend more money on tooling, administration and inventory hastles to create an additional piece of trim to accommodate an item that may present more negatives than positives.
Potential issues:
Keypad presents styling or packaging issues.
Not enough keypad sales to offset cost of trim variant.
More efficient to offer a universal item via Ford Accessories or dealer options.

What’s the point of the keypad assuming you have the FordPass app to unlock the vehicle?
Child: "Hey Dad"
Me: "What's up, bud?"
Child: "I need to get into the Bronco and get my books out, what's the code?"
Me: "12345"
Child: "Thanks Dad, I love you so much, I'll never put you in a retirement home when you get old."
