Hi. Can anyone comment on the resons why the Bandland options do not include the Tube steps and the hard top sound deadening headliner? Are these physical limitations or can they be added after market?
Thanks
Thanks

1) Tube steps are a pain offroad (they catch on things), and a bit cheesy on a real off road truck (they look terrible and give the appearance of less ground clearance).Hi. To me, the steps that Ford is offereing, are steps and probably not meant to handle abuse from rocks. The rock sliders will protect the underside of the body but won't do much to prevent a rock sliding down the side of your door. That is where tube steps come into play. I think Smittbuilt makes a set, as do others, that are placed higher, just under the door, that would add better protection, IMO, but kind of useless as steps to be used for ingress by a driver/passenger.1) Tube steps are a pain offroad (they catch on things), and a bit cheesy on a real off road truck (they look terrible and give the appearance of less ground clearance).
2) It's optional. You have to pony up.

Only in the four-door, though. In the two-door, you can order-up without issues. All can be added after the fact.
In the case of the headliner, you can't add some accessories installed at the factory because the ordering system believes it exceeds the vehicle weight restrictions.
The sound-deadening headliner does not come with the High package. That is sound-deadening in the body. If someone wants the sound-deadening headliner, it needs to be ordered as the stand-alone option, in which case, I would recommend getting both High (or Lux) and the headliner. It would suck to block out the noise from one place only to hear it from another.headliner comes in two ways both require $. its a separate line item or comes with High Package. Like most you can always add it later from Ford if it causes issues on GVWR build restrictions.
