Because the 2 door is the og
This is my feeling. 2 door hardtop is the look most people associate with the Bronco. 4 door might be more aimed at those cross shopping with a Wrangler who expect to pay for a hard top.

It could be considered a money grab but still a logical approach, as paying extra for a soft top which most would consider a downgrade makes no sense.

Why do we have to pay extra for a hard top, no other ford has ever cost extra for a hard top. If anything you pay more for a convertible

The 4 door is not true to anything Ford has built in the past, it's a new vehicle aimed squarely at Wrangler Unlimited buyers/shoppers and Jeep also charges for a hardtop. Giving you a hard top with the 2 door is the compromise, as that's the version most true to the classic Bronco.

Also, it's still a convertible with a hardtop, and hardtop convertibles tend to cost more and be an optional upgrade.

The original two door bronco only had removable hardtops. So Ford decided to stay period correct to their heritage on the new two doors.

Lol just kidding, but sounded pretty good

Ford will make all the desirable/popular options an extra add-on. Same reason the 12" screen is extra on all versions. $$$$$$

The top options have fluctuated a bit, even of the website since the reveal, and it seems to be one of the topics Ford has shied away from conclusively addressing on twitter.

Be interesting to see what the final offerings and factory accessories (bikini, mesh) are.

Arenā€™t most hard top convertibles also engineered to fold into the trunk and not made of plastic? Idonā€™t know that a plastic roof you have to muscle off and stick in your garage is considered the same class as hard top convertible.

Yes, that's why it'll be like a $1000 option instead of a $5000 option.

True and they feel sorry for the short guys that are getting the two doors, so it's a hook up ?
Iā€˜m 6ā€™2ā€ and getting the 2 door. Do you think Iā€™ll fit? Donā€™t answer that. It was a rhetorical question. ?

I'm surprised that you're going for the 2 door, it's nice but I always try to get the most I can when it comes to space plus its roomier if u went camping and wanted to put the seats down and sleep ?
