I've never had a smoker complain about a vehicle not have a lighter element, yet I've had non-smokers bitch up a storm about why their car has a lighter, (you know its so hard to take the element out.) I think we were Karen'd into removing them.

I saw pix of it, they now call it a power plug....there's one in back next to the 110, the one up front might have been in the console.

I believe Ford has nix'd the lighter in all new vehicles. The might be something offered directly from Ford. But I wouldn't know about that.

I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a lighter from the factory in a new car. I know you've been able to option a smokers package in a ton of vehicles but I can't remember the last time I physically saw a lighter in a new car

Last car I saw with one was a 2008 BMW X3. Maybe because it’s a European car and smoking seems to be more common over there. I know Jeep offered a package for one on the JK’s, but I’m not sure it made it to the JL.

my '13 Merc has a lighter (per the fuse diagram it is properly labled as a 'cigar lighter'). Before that I think I have to go back to my '96 Fleetwood Brougham. Five ashtrays and lighters in that bad boy. Great road car. (each door and center front, might have had a center rear on the back of the console as well, don't recall, didn't ride in the back.)

You won't find a lighter unless you opt for a 'smokers option' but the Aux or power port is basically the same thing as far as power availability. You could always buy a lighter kit and swap out one of the 2 or 3 power ports. Or just get a Bic
