If it is advertised as a power port, plugging a cigarette lighter in it will probably melt the plastic panel it is mounted in or blow the fuse. The actual smokers package has materials to mitigate the heat.

Can you describe what that color looks like in person? Seems kind of greenish with some red undertones.
