Why is Outer Banks so popular?

True. I didn't notice the handles and mirrors were painted. Those seats are pretty nice. Didn't know about them. Too bad they didn't have red and black (or dark gray) leather combo. Those would look Sharpe with your color.

The OBX model without Sasquatch was way too pedestrian in appearance for me. It made adding the Sasquatch mandatory. That option drove the price to Bad Lands ville. I did not like any of the OBX interior options. The Bad Lands is way more Bronco then I need but it had the look and the interior options I wanted. I put the Bad Lands in the bag. I really dig this vehicle.

I also dig my badlands look with minimal to zero options. To me it's just one more things my kids can break or ruin.

I absolutely love mine. It’s 99% on the pavement and my daily driver. I know mileage is not great but we plan on using this for long vacation trips. The sound deadening on the top along with carpet and cloth interior make this thing silent going down the road. Even with the front top panels out it is still very easy to carry on a conversation at 70+ mph. Totally love it and how it drives.

I bought the OBX Sas specifically for the painted handles and mirrors, as well as the cloth interior, as I don’t really need leather in this vehicle… the only thing I Don’t like it the grill

The only thing missing that I see is the sway bar disconnect, and I don’t intend to push it that hard…

VERY HAPPY with this rig, and agree I see more BadLands than Outer Banks…

In the end, they are ALL Broncos…

I joined several message boards since i bought my badlands in January. For me this was a walk-in purchase so i didn't know much about the different trims, or the ordering process. Nowadays, on several bronco online forums, i notice that most new bronco purchases are outer banks. Just wondering what makes this trim so popular?

Because it’s super cool to have an OBX sticker when you’re on the beach

Not quite, it is actually the Badlands trim level that gets you the discount at Starbucks. The only caveat is that in order to qualify for the discount you must demonstrate the sway bar disconnect as you pull up on the curb. And, are you ready for this, if you also have the sasquatch package on your Badlands you get double the discount!

We are older and kids on their own so it’s me and my wife. However, I did have the interior protection with 5 year warranty put on because we will use it a lot and sometimes eat on the road. Those damn mustardy pickles love to fall out of those subway sandwiches. Lol

Outer banks is the bronco version of the Sahara wrangler. Its the “street” version of the model with the most cosmetic/comfert appeal. In plain words…its the mall crawler trim that will sell the most.

It’s the first trim with a 12” screen and Lux pkg as an option and you can get the adv 4wd. The roast leather interior is far and away the best looking interior, puts the Wildtrack to shame. You either like the painted flares and mirrors or not. Will say I’m not a huge fan of the 18” wheels but those are easily changed. I added a rear locker to mine so it’s capable enough for me and I still came out $3500 less than a Badlands, which is the only other trim I considered but I doubt I would use a front locker very often. Gotta chuckle at all of the SAS and highly capable trimmed Broncos out there. Talk about mall crawler/pavement princesses, most will never see a trail and the toughest hill they will climb will be in the parking garage. Oh well, to each their own, spend your money however you want.

Ford did some really weird things with the trim levels. They have been doing it will all their trucks and SUV’s. It’s almost like they have a “on road” and “off road” trim levels. The base is well the base. But for on road it’s big bend, outter banks, wild trak, braptor. The off road trims are black diamond, badlands, Everglades. With that being said you can order any of the trims with the sasquach, standard or above on the Everglades, Wild trak, and braptor.
I spent the better part of a year reaching out to dealers trying to find one at MSRP. It was insane. Order banks were closed so I was basically out of luck. I was searching WT because they all come standard with sasquach and 2.7. So all I had to do was find the color and a hard top vs having to find multiple items on all the other trim levels. I would have like to have a BL but I really like my WT so she is here to stay.
