Wow, smart. Locker and auxiliary switches for a dealer stock order. Surprising.
I was hesitant to believe that they would have all these instock and available to sell but I I just went and test drove a BD and Obx this evening

Interesting observations. I was an original BL order, than changed to OBX, with advanced 4x4, lockers and lux as it seemed closer to what I wanted. added optional BL wheels, swapped flares for ding/branch scratch protection and removed running boards. Finally removed trim badge as I am not sure what it is anymore. Went to a Ford engineer event in Denver last month and they asked me I had. LOL

I spoke with my local dealer here in NWFL and they are charging $15k above MSRP for orders coming in that are not picked up by original buyers. Absolutely crazy and so frustrating but that is supply and demand for you. :(
I just test drove a black diamond and OuterBanks tonight, both just arrived on the truck with 9 other ones today, they are selling them all as dealer stock for MSRP

Some of us have made it thru a few recessions in our lifetime so the economy crashing doesn’t scare some of us still willing to buy. Considering I’m blue collar I still ain’t paying over msrp for any vehicle.

Bottom line is the economy is crashing. The warning signs are everywhere, but everyone is still in denial.

Between those two trim levels would you have a preference of one vs the other?

I really like the BD better, but spec wise you can get the OBX for a better price with a few more options, I just personally like the more rugged look of the BD

I really liked the BD I drove at the "Drive the Bronco" event here. Except for the seats (MGV) Uncomfortably hot in April. Don't even want to think about how bad they would be in actual summer.

OBX you are stuck with an automatic transmission.

I was about to call back and add leather after I learned the back seat does not have an armrest without leather..weird. Got a VIN before I had a chance so now I’ll be adding Katskins..they set me swatches so I can see what matches best when I get it

What color cloth did you get? Navy or Roast?

Maybe this has been discussed, I’m sure.

Why?

mixture of supply & demand and the fact their Ford “must” keep the production line moving and producing vehicles. Detriments of this reality are many for the custom order community.

I got roast..wasn’t too keen on blue interior and green exterior
I'd be interested to see how it goes with the rest of the interior.
I too have Roast cloth inside a Carbon Grey OBX.

Probably the same reason I was able to order a BB with Mid rear locker, 2.3 and soft top January 22 and receive it in May 22.

Has to do with the high number of the top end trims being ordered as compared to the lower end trims. Basically everyone ordered the same damn thing more or less (hard top, SAS) and they can only make so much of those at one time.
